"Shit." We all said in unison.
"Ben..." Klaus said with a smile.
Ben looked much different from what we remembered. He had a scar across his face, and a menacing tone to his voice. His eyes filled with the opposite of what it usually was. And a frown carved into his face. Five and I gave each other unsure glances, because obviously we changed something in the timeline for our dead brother to come back to the land of the living.
Luther stepped in front of all of us, confused, "Is that really you?"
Ben furrowed his eyebrows at him with a scowl.
"And who are the weirdos on the balcony?" Diego shouted.
"They are the Sparrows." Dad responded.
Despite my good vision, I still couldn't make out what their faces looked like completely. Even though one of them didn't even have a face. But from what I could see, there was a green floating cube next to a girl with short hair and glasses with an amazing uniform style. Next to her was a girl with black hair and a regular outfit, then after her was another girl. She had light brown hair and was wearing a regular uniform. Next to her was a man with a messed up face, as if his face melted down and then froze like slime. And finally, a tall man in uniform on the other side. I readjusted my footing and stood between Five and Diego.
"My children." Dad continued.
We all darted our heads at Dad, thinking 'what the hell did he just say?'
"I'm sorry." Five said. "What do you mean, your children? That's not possible, old man."
"Of course it is! I think I'd know, wouldn't I?"
Then the Sparrows snuck up behind us and stood before us.
"Everybody else can see Ben, right?" Klaus asked with a smile.
Ben crossed his arms, "Cute hat, Sundance." Klaus tipped the rim of his hat down at him, in response.
"They call themselves the Umbrella Academy," Dad explained. " a group of scheming, perfidious malcontents who accosted me in the fall of 1963, when I was away on business in Dallas."
I saw Five glancing at the briefcase a few times, and took that in mind.
"But be warned," Dad spoke again. "They claim to be my spawn."
Allison scoffed and walked towards Dad, "Claim? Look, Five, what the hell is going on?"
"I don't know yet, but it's concerning." Five said calmly.
"Is he telling the truth?" One of the Sparrows asked.
"Not the part about us being perfidious." Vanya responded.
Five looked at me and I looked back, he moved his eyes at the briefcase, and then back at me, and raised his brows quickly and then rested them. I gave him a small nod and barely lifted my hand from my side, towards the briefcase. I moved it with my powers as slowly as I could, not trying to cause any distractions with the Sparrows. I looked back at everyone and paid attention to what was going on, all while moving it slowly.
