Chapter 12, Title: Cold Weather featuring Feelings

Naka-akbay parin si Night sa akin habang sinasabi 'yon. I pursed my lips. Hindi ko alam kung anong sasabihin ko. Pinaliwanag na niya sa'kin na torpe siya pagdating sa babaeng gusto niya at ngayon lang siya naglakas loob na umamin dahil ayaw niyang ganun nalang siya lagi. Pero hindi parin ako sanay na ang dating tahimik na si Night ay may gusto sa akin at nililigawan pa ako.

"Look, we've known each other for a long time, Night. I know you. Stop beating around the bush and just tell me what your real intentions are." Zumiere stated seriously.

Matunog na natawa si Night sa sinabi niya. "My intentions are pure Zumiere, what you're thinking were not." tugon niya.

"I'm just concerned for her 'cause she's a close friend of mine. And you're my friend, so I know your history with girls." He smirked.

So I'm just a friend to him, huh? Should I be happy because he cared for me, or be sad because he only sees me as a friend?

"I don't have time to be a shitty person. I truly like her for no other reason. Life is short. Live it with no regrets." Night replied.

I looked at Zumiere, and he ran his fingers through his long hair, and I knew I was staring at him lovingly while he was tying his hair into a half-ponytail.

"I don't believe you, Night," Zumiere said.

"Then don't. Simple as that, Zumiere." Night shrugged before turning his glance back at me. "I only have two options. Take the risk, or lose the chance. And my choice was," he paused and removed his hand from my shoulder to hold my hand while staring at me lovingly.

"To forget the risk and take the fall. If it is what I want, then I guess... it's worth it all." He added.

Zumiere turned his gaze at me and scoffed. "Is that so? Does he have a chance, Lufena?" He asked me casually while crossing his arms.

Kumunot ang noo ko sa tanong niya. Sasagot na sana ako kaso nagsalita ulit si Night.

"It's not about getting the chance Zumiere. It's about taking a chance. Lufena deserves a love willing to risk everything for her, not a coward who hides and runs away from everything while denying his feelings..." Night said and smirked at Zumiere.

Hindi na umimik si Zumiere.

Grabe... itong mga lalake na 'to talaga ang dahilan kung ba't ako mababaliw. Napahawak ako sa noo ko, sumasakit ang ulo ko sa mga pinagsasabi nila. Akala ko double date yung dapat pag-usapan namin dito pero bakit umabot sila sa ganitong topic?!

Nagkatitigan sila na parang sila lang ang nagkaintindihan. Hinila ko ang tela ng uniporme ni Night para agawin ang atensyon niya kaya lumingon siya sa'kin.

"Usap tayo mamaya." sabi ko pagkalingon niya sa'kin.
