I knew her. I've known her for a long time now. I just didn't want to surprise her by suddenly introducing myself to her. What could I possibly tell her? Hi! I'm Luke Ivan Ford Guivara and I have a crush on you. I've known you for a long time now. Can you be my girl? If I did that, I knew that I would mess it up.
I sighed as I looked the scattered papers around me. It seemed like she was braver than me. A smile escaped my lips as held one particular paper and read its content. I have already read her letters a lot of times but I couldn't help it. She had a crush on me. She had a feeling. I was not invisible to her. I closed my eyes and calmed myself. I needed to have a grip.
Once again, I heaved a heavy sigh and picked up the first letter I got from her. Then, I readied my very own cell phone from what I was about to do. I glanced the paper in my hand and pressed the record button on my phone. I counted three seconds in my head before speaking.
"Hi, Alexa!"
My heartbeat quickened. It seemed like my mind had shutdown.
This couldn't be happening. I needed to at least tell her.
For the several times, I breathed a heavy sigh and opened my lips to speak again.
"You don't really have to introduce yourself. I knew you already. You must be wondering on how or why. Well, I was already noticing you before, but you just started to recognize me after that incident. Anyway, you're right. Before I read this, I already knew that some of my things are missing. When I saw your letter, I already had a hunch of what really happened. Don't worry, I'm not mad. I'm actually happy that I am able to help you even if this way is not too ideal. I'm glad to help, Alexa. Please, let me."
Time flew and I just spent it by recording what I wanted to say to Alexa. Since I couldn't talk to her right now. I decided to just record those things that I wanted to say to her, and when the time tcame that I could already approached her, I would just give her my voice records.
"Tol, sasabay ka bang mag-lunch?"
I glanced at Tristan. "Yes, may gagawin lang ako saglit tapos susunod na ako sa tambayan."
"Ano namang gagawin mo?" he asked.
I just shrugged my shoulders. "Basta."
He just shooked his head at me and walked his way to our what we call tambayan.
When I made sure that no one could see me, I already made my way as well. I avoided the places that have many students and carefully approached the woman from one of the classrooms. Before I could come to her, she already saw me and nodded, a sign that she understood. I nodded at her too and quietly went to the roof top of the engineering department. This place was one of the secluded areas in the university because of the rumor that someone had been killed here.
After several minutes, the woman that I've waiting for already came. She was panting and sweats covered her face. In spite of that, her beauty was still undeniable.
"You took your time," I handed her my handkerchief that I was always bringing.
She huffed. "Well, thanks for the warm greetings, dear cousin!"
I grinned. "How's your way here?"
Her forehead creased. "Kainis! Huwag mo na ngang ipaalala. Ang daming humarang sa akin papunta rito."
"Ganiyan talaga kapag sikat."
"I know right. Naa-appriciate ko naman sila, Ivan, pero minsan sobra na. I can't even eat at the cafeteria peacefully."
I snickered. "Peacefully? That's impossible. Sabi ko sa 'yo roon ka na lang sa tambayan namin nina Tristan, eh."
She frowned. "Ayaw ko nga. Puro lalaki kayo roon, eh."
