Chapter 16

Jason and Timi got to class first when second period was over, Jason noticed his bag was closed differently, he'd normally zip his bag all the way to the other end but this time the zip met in the middle, so it was clear someone tampered with his bag.

He opened it and saw a folded piece of paper on top, after unfolding it, he read the first two lines and laughed.

"What's in it?" Timi asked.

"It's a love letter or poem... " Jason said "who the fuck still does this? what year is this??" Jason asked rhetorically.

He tried figuring out whose handwriting it was, but there was no luck, the first person that came to his mind was Zino, but he can't tell if it's him, cause he's never actually seen his handwriting.

It seemed unlikely it'd be Zino tho.

"You have a secret admirer" Timi hyped Jason up, Jason didn't know how to respond, he was really hoping Timi could just get back with him.

More students started walking into the class, Jason just kept suspecting every single one of them.

"Wait what if it was Abigail?" Jason asked Timi.

"I don't think It's her... I think she likes Lateef." Timi responded.

Balikis walked into the class, she started smiling at Jason as soon as she saw him, Jason looked no more, he found the culprit.

"Did you see what I left for you in your bag?" Balikis asked Jason.

"Huh? What?" Jason acts confused.

Balikis claims she wrote the love poem for him.

"I thought it was meant to be a secret, if you could walk up to him and tell him, why didn't you just do it rather than write love letter?" Timi had to ask.

Balikis stated there's no fun in that and she's still waiting for a response from Jason.

Jason was going to say no right away, but Timi stared at him so he had to lie to Balikis to give him time.

Zuriel and Stephanie walk past the three of them and exchange pleasantries before heading to their seat. Beamer seats with them.

"You stab class so much, I forgot this is your seat" Beamer told Zuriel.

Zuriel stared at him til he was forced to apologize, Zuriel felt like a third wheel while the two had a conversation.

The two kept going on and on about where to go to after school for their first date.

"Are you serious?" Zuriel asked.

"Yes!! My parents won't be around for a while so I'd go out with him but before that I wanted him to meet me at my spot where I read so we can have some personal time there" Stephanie says.

"I don't understand, didn't you two start dating like days ago, you're already having 'personal time' Stephanie!!" Zuriel called out Stephanie, Beamer wanted to respond to that but something about Zuriel just scared the hell out of him.

Stephanie didn't know what exactly she wanted, she only rushed into this relationship to hurt Zino, but it's in no way affecting him, they're not even in the same class. Stephanie likes Beamer a lot but she doesn't really know if she's ready to date him.

Zuriel was frustrated watching the two struggle to choose where to go for their first date.

Zuriel even became more frustrated as soon as the thought of Moyo crossed her mind, she knew Moyo was planning something and Moyo wouldn't just let her go like that, so she had to think fast.

She left the class without the two of them noticing and went straight to SSS2 block.

Zuriel walked into Chika's class, when the teacher was having third period, but she went unnoticed by the teacher.

"Where's Tope?" Zuriel asked sitting beside Chika and Malik.

"I don't know if she came today." Chika said.

Zuriel requested for the bag of sweets back from Chika, he handed it to her almost empty, Chika had sold most of the sweets already. Chika wanted to give Zuriel the money he made, but she told him to keep it, Chika clearly knew the moment he accepts it, he'd be indebted to her.

"Keep it. I dash you." Zuriel said and stylishly walked out of the class.

Tope actually resumed today, she just hadn't been to class yet, she's been too busy begging her sister not to report Zuriel to the school management but her sister won't listen.

Moyo wanted to have the last laugh, she didn't want to leave things the way they ended, she wanted to fight back, and reporting was the only way she knew.

Tope loves both of them dearly and she never thought the day would come where she'd have to pick a side.

Tope just hoped Timi could walk by them right now, but he wasn't forthcoming, cause she knows Timi is the only one that might slightly convince Moyo not to report.

Moyo sees a teacher heading to her class for third period so she dismisses Tope and heads to class, She doesn't tell Tope if she's still going to report tho.
