Chapter 33

"What happened?" That was the number one question everyone was asking.

Moyo didn't know what aggravated the issue but from what she could tell, Chika had obviously done things with Malik and probably Lekan too.

"We were all in class, Tope was with me, I even forgot what I wanted to tell her, suddenly I heard slap, before you know what happened... Lateef started matching and slapping Chika, he carried him outside to beat him....Lekan too now joined in the beating, nobody sent Zuriel oh, she went to go and stop it...they pushed her away, she now went to go and break chair on Malik's back.... Lateef was just looking at her, I even thought he'd do something.... He just carried his brother and left... Beamer now came and started shouting "DID HE TOUCH YOU?" He now started rushing Lekan, Lekan could not even touch him... Stephanie now came and saved the day" Moyo narrated everything to Timi and Jason.

"Why didn't you stop them?" Timi ask.

"What concern me?  I didn't send anyone to go and fag" Moyo slurred.

Timi and Jason had no words, Timi gave her a stern look while Jason left, she felt she said nothing wrong so she didn't apologize.

The word spread like wild fire, if the kids aren't careful, a teacher might end up hearing about it.

Everyone in SSS2 was talking about Chika, some louder than others.

Noone knew where Lateef or Malik went after the incident, people wondered if Malik was actually a victim.

Tope left Chika alone for two minutes and he was already being threatened by Olamide.

"Bastard fag! Go and touch me first... What senior Lateef did to you is small, Me I'd end you" Olamide told Chika.

Tope walked in and stood up for Chika.

"Why are you supporting this fag? He's not normal" Olamide asked Tope.

"So wanking to Sofiyah's instagram pics is normal?" Tope claps back, everyone laughs at Olamide.

Tope sits on the table of their seat opposite Chika.

"You should've just ignored him" Chika said.

"No I wanted to put him in his place, he's mad!" Tope said.

Chika couldn't be more thankful for having Tope, right now she's the only one he has.

A group of students sat right in front of them gossiping what went down making sure Chika heard.

"Could they be more obvious?" Chika asked sarcastically.

Tope turned back to see them and she shaked her head and rolled her eyes.

"Has Malik come back?" Tope withdrew her question after she realized it might have been insensitive.

"No" Chika still responded. "Why didn't you answer my calls or texts?"

"Oh you called... Sorry my daddy seized my phone" Tope said.

Everyone in the class suddenly became quiet, Chika noticed it's because Jason stood at the door, he could tell already Jason was there to see him, he couldn't go through what just happened again.

He was shaking when he stood up, he tried to hide it so people won't make fun of him, Jason himself felt nervous, he could almost hear what they were saying about him.

Jason and Chika walked out the block together, SSS2 students peeped to see where they were headed.

"Are they still looking at us?" Jason said to ease the atmosphere.

Chika turned back and saw them staring "yes"

Jason sat on the pavillion, he invited Chika to sit beside him, Chika still felt intimidated but Jason insisted. Apparently everyone there seemed to be minding their business.

"What actually happened? Be honest please" Jason asked.

"Lateef  sent someone to call me this morning... "

"I mean why did he do all that"

Chika could no longer speak as if his mouth had been shut close.

Jason was waiting on him but he still couldn't say anything. Chika wanted to say something before he gets hurt like last time but Jason stopped him.

"Chika I'm gay" Jason blurted out, Chika was left speechless "wow that's probably the first time I've said that out loud" Jason said to himself "I told you that because I trust you, now I need you to trust me"

"I kissed Malik...." Chika told Jason everything.

Jason had to cut the conversation short when he noticed classes were starting "if you ever need to talk I'm here" Jason told Chika.

"Jason... Sorry senior Jason please your number" Chika asked.

Jason gave him his number then dismissed him, before Jason went back to class, Zino stopped him to ask what was going on.

"I heard Lateef beat him because he did something with Malik" Zino said.

"That's what they're saying..." Jason replied leaving out every information that Chika gave him.

Zino felt really bad for Chika but there was nothing he could do about it.

"What of Stephanie?" Zino brought up.

"I've not spoken to her since... I don't think she has told anybody" Jason said.

Zino left worried, giving everything that's going on, it no longer feels safe to be yourself.

Jason got to class to ask Timi if he had ended things with Moyo before classes started.

"Not now, I told you it has to be her that'd do it" Timi quoted

"Are you ok? Didn't you hear what she said"

"That's not good enough"

"Timi please just... " Jason stopped himself before he says something out of line.

Timi went to meet Moyo on the other roll but before he could say anything, a teacher entered the class, so he went back to his seat, Jason rolled his eyes at Timi.
