Chapter 21

The mid term week had just begun, Jason, Timi and Zuriel are seated in the garden studying for their mid term exams like everyone else there.

Zino walked passed staring at Jason, Jason made eye contact and wanted to excuse himself but Zino signed him to sit back down.

Zuriel draws Jason and Timi's attention to Stephanie not being around.

"That's true, where is Stephanie?" Jason asked.

Zuriel assumed she'd be with Beamer since she's been spending a lot of time with him lately.

"Wait when did Stephanie and Beamer start dating? How long has this been??" Timi asked unaware.

"It's been since guy" Jason answered.

Timi has been to busy with his own drama, he didn't even notice his friends are dating. 

Zuriel placed her book down on her lap tired, she laid her back properly on the chair and sighed.

"On top 10 marks, we want to kill ourselves, I've tried, I can't keep reading, I'd hustle junior that'd pass me dubs... The two of you should keep reading incase the junior fuck up" Zuriel left.

Stephanie has been trying to get beamer not to go to her reading spot at the abandoned building but he refuses to listen.

She is 100% sure they'd bump into Lekan there, and that frightens her big time, she still feels guilty about what she did with Lekan but she can't actually bring herself to tell Beamer about it.

As she predicted, Lekan was there stuffing his shoes with dubs.

"Ahan Lekan, how far? What are you doing here?" Beamer asked.

"Ask Stephanie" Lekan pointed at Stephanie.

Stephanie's heart sunk, mouth wide open, took her a while before she replied "he usually stabs class here, he's probably stabbing test here too"

Lekan hissed and eyed Stephanie before leaving.

Beamer felt something was going on between them, but it seemed like the usual for them.

Stephanie starts revising chemistry with Beamer.

"An electrolyte is a substance that conducts electric current as a result of a dissociation into....positively and negatively charged particles....called i-ion" Stephanie struggles to remember.

"OK.... What is Boyle's law?" Beamer asks.

"That's simple.... Give me something else"

"Alright...What is Charles law?"

Stephanie stares at Beamer in silence.

"Answer!! Since you know it"

"Charles law states that the volume of a given mass of gas is directly... or wait is it inversely...? " Stephanie asks herself, Beamer laughs.

"But you remember every BTS member's name" Beamed joked.

Stephanie rolled her eyes

"Charles law states that the volume of a given mass of gas is.... " Beamer defines but he's cut off by a security guard chasing them away.

"What are you two doing there?" The security guard asks.

Stephanie and Beamer take their bags and walk away without answering.

Malik waited patiently for Chika in class but he wasn't forth coming, he met Tope to ask of his whereabouts.

"I don't know for Chika, he better come cause test would soon start" Tope said.

Malik didn't really have anyone else to talk to other than Chika, he fought with his only other close friend 'olamide'. So it's just him and Tope now.

Malik lowkey wanted to talk to Tope, cause he thought it'd be fun to be friends with Chika's bestfriend, but he didn't know how.

"How did you and Chika even meet? You guys are really close" Malik asks.

"I think JSS1, I don't really remember how but I know it's through Zuriel... " Tope responded.

Malik laughs actually not being surprised, Malik seemed interested so he kept the conversation going.

"Have you guys ever fought before?"

"What's the craziest thing he has done?"

"Has he dated anyone before"

Malik just kept asking Tope a bunch of questions about Chika.

Tope couldn't wait to tell Chika that Malik was asking about him while he was away, she knows Chika would freak out if he should hear it.

Tope stepped out to look for Chika as their invigilator walked in, Tope thought to check SSS3 block first, but she didn't want to run into her sister, so she checked around her block.

Tope was running out of time, she had no idea if her papers had started but she was mostly worried for Chika, hoping he hasn't gotten into any trouble.

Zuriel stopped Tope before she went back to her block, Zuriel was also in a hurry.

"Has your papers started?" Zuriel asked.

"Yes... That's where I'm going" Tope said.

"Wait... Do you have any free period today?"

"No"

"What of Chika?"

"It's him I'm even looking for, I've not seen him at all today... I think he's not coming.... But he didn't tell me anything, why would he not come when we're having test?" Tope panicked.

Zuriel ordered Tope to run back to her class and stop worrying. Zuriel only hoped their invigilator isn't strict, so things can go smoothly for her.
