Chapter 43

Beamer called for Malvin's help to get back in, The guy at the backgate who let Malvin and his friends enter was no longer there, Malvin had no money on him left to spare, this was going to cost him some extra convincing before they let Beamer in.

Beamer was forced to drop the sum of five hundred naira, which was less than the original price of one ticket before he could enter.

"You're owing me five hundred naira" Beamer stated when he got inside.

"I'm not the one who told you to go outside" Malvin laughed.

Beamer wanted to at least try to get the five hundred naira back but failed, Malvin held Beamer's hands and started dragging him towards the crowd.

"Are you high?" Beamer stopped Malvin then looked down on them holding hands.

"Sorry" Malvin left his hands.

"I didn't mean it like that... "

Malvin bounced off before he could finish talking. Beamer was left alone in the crowd, he tried calling Stephanie again but she still didn't pick.

Stephanie and Jason were in front shouting at the top of their lungs, Although Jason was high, he still had Timi at the back of his mind.

"BY THE WAY TIMI KNOWS YOU KNOW NOW" Jason shouted.

"WHAT??? OHHHH" Stephanie pretended like she heard what he said.

"CAN YOU BELIEVE PEOPLE ACTUALLY THOUGHT ME AND YOU WERE DATING?"

"I GET WHY THEY'D THINK THAT... "

"WE SHOULD TOTALLY KISS TO SPARK THOSE RUMORS"

"WE SHOULD!!" Stephanie leaned in to kiss Jason. Jason didn't hesitate to kiss back.

Beamer saw everything from afar and felt pretty bummed out about it, he only let it slide cause he knew Jason was gay. He didn't want to walk in on them kissing so he tried getting Jason away by texting him with his 'LGM' number.

Jason wanted to ignore the texts he was receiving until he found out it was from his 'LGM', he left to text her back but before he could respond she had gone offline immediately.

Stephanie gasped when she saw Beamer, she figured he must've seen what happened, she started cursing herself in her head, she felt Beamer was going to hate her for life.

"I am so sorry.... I know I fucked up... AGAIN!!.... but it meant nothing... I swear...." Stephanie stammered.

"Stephanie! Stephanie.... " Beamer tried grabbing her attention "see It's fine....I'm not angry!! I know it didn't mean anything"

Stephanie felt relieved and confused at the same time, she expected Beamer to be mad at her but he fudged.

Zuriel expected Malvin to show up now that Beamer was back but he still hadn't returned. Tope asked to borrow her for a second, Zuriel followed her since it seemed important.

"It's true.... You wanted to tell me something this morning... " Zuriel remembered.

"Yes.... Please is there anything going on between senior Jason and Timi?" Tope was shaking.

"What do you mean? Why'd you ask?"

Tope couldn't say anything again, she brought out her phone and opened the screenshots and handed it over to Zuriel.

Zuriel read each and every single message but she was still hella confused cause she didn't know who was texting Jason in the screenshots, she had a feeling it was Timi, but she didn't want to believe it.

"Who's texting Jason?" Zuriel gave Tope back her phone.

"Senior Timi" Tope replied.

"How did you get these?"

"From his phone.... I screenshoted them and sent it to me"

"Who knows about this?" Zuriel asked quietly.

"Nobody... I wanted to tell my sis... "

"Don't show anybody this... Keep it for now! Tope please I'm begging you... Nobody must know this." Zuriel left to go look for Malvin.

Tope received a text from her sister asking where she was, Tope ignored it and put her phone on 'do not disturb'. She couldn't help but feel the message was important so she checked again and saw missed calls from her sister already with 2 new messages.

Moyo texted "Daddy is back" and "we should start going now"

Tope needed Zuriel before she could make her next move but Zuriel wasn't coming back. Tope proceeded to ask Moyo to meet her at the backgate.

Moyo got there but still no sign of Tope, Timi tried persuading her to stay a little longer but Moyo needed to be home.

"I'm going to miss you" Timi tries kissing Moyo.

"My dad would kill me if I don't get home in time... I'd miss you too... But I have to get home" Moyo placed her index finger on his lips stopping him from kissing her.

Moyo shouted at Tope when she finally came "Where the fuck have you been?" Tope didn't pay any attention to her, she just went outside. Timi waved them good-bye before walking back down all alone.
