Spaghetti.

Bruce thought as he stared death in the eyes a second time in the past twenty four hours.  I should have eaten more spaghetti this morning. It’s bad enough that I'm gonna be shot, but getting shot on an empty stomach? I swear if heaven doesn't have a burger place or something I'm gonna be pissed.
The eyes he was staring into particularly were a brilliant gold color that matched the pistol his crush held to his head. “S-so, you’re a mystic user I take it?” Bruce commented, trying to sound calm as he raised his hands above his head.
“The best one your gullible ass will ever meet.” Clover said as her demeanor changed. Even her voice sounds different than before! Bruce noticed as he prayed his own voice wouldn’t crack.

“If not for the golden gun pointed at my face, I’d think your mystic  was just incredible acting.” Bruce stalled while trying to decide if he should try to wrestle the gun out of her hand or attempt to reason with her.
No. He thought to himself.
It’s not a normal gun. She could probably just remake it if you wrestled it from her, that is if she doesn't paint the dumpster with my Bruce juice first. He gulped. Reason with her it is.

“Don’t do this Clover, put the gun down and let's go sign you up for drama club. I hear that they are always looking for talent, and lady you got it!”
She cocked an eyebrow at him, looking skeptical. “You’re awfully jokey for target practice.” She gave the trigger a light and teasing pull

Bruce panicked. “Okay! Okay wait! I don’t know what I did to you, but I’m truly sorry. I’ll do whatever it takes to fix it, just please, don’t shoot.” Here I am, pathetically begging for his life to a maniac that I met with willingly! I blame you, nature!
She looked him in the eye, her smile had been replaced with an expression he couldn’t read. “You’ll do anything I say?”
“Yes, anything… I’ll shine your shoes, do your chores, help, help you change clothes, pick out swimsuits, anything!” Bruce said, still nervous, but hoping to buy more time to think. She lowered the gun from his face. “Great! But try any funny shit and you’ll see that I’m more deadly than Klevher could ever be.” She pulled out a metal object from her pocket. Bruce sighed, it felt like he could breathe again. “I won’t.” Bruce said as he watched the gun vanish in a flash of golden light. She raised the small metal object in her hands to her heart and closed her eyes. The object, which Bruce could now see appeared to be a key with a tip that resembled half of the sun, started to glow gold as Clover traced a familiar symbol in the air. The same symbol that was on those strange bandages he saw last night.
All was silent for a second before, out of nowhere, a golden rectangular portal materialized, leaving the air with an odd smell that he couldn’t describe. Bruce gawked at the glowing doorway before returning his gaze to Clover. The blond’s wicked smile had returned in full force. “Come on Kopierce.” She stepped aside and gestured to it. “You’re going first.”

Layva personally didn’t give a damn about the Kopierce boy’s wellbeing. But she did care about the core being compromised by Nolass and the blond’s big mouth. At least that’s what she told herself as she began walking towards the back of the school. She opened the doors and saw nothing but a dumpster. As she looked around she felt a sharp tug from somewhere in her mind. She ignored it and continued to look around.
Did I miss them? She thought. No, school just ended, there is no way they cou-
The tug came again , harder this time. “No, we’re in public!” She said out loud. The tug came again, this time so hard it actually hurt. “Fine, fine come out before you rip my head open.” Layva closed her eyes and concentrated. She held up her hand, her mother’s ring glowed red as she channeled some of her sole into it. A moment later her familiar, Scythe, emerged from the ring in a flash of bood red light. He perched on her arm and nuzzled her face with his owl head.
