Jean had been praying for the past twenty eight minutes since Bruce left. Almost everyone else had quickly regained consciousness. Beangula explained the situation to Rolist and Nix. All of the injured had their broken bones set and were on their way to recovery. The only one of them who still hadn’t awoken was Clover.

“Do you think she’s alright?” Ravel asked in concern while looking at the blond.

“Just give her some more time.” Ms. Beangula said. “Her body seemed fine.” Kai reassured her. Just then the sound of the doorbell rang throughout the mansion. Jean instantly grabbed her crutches and headed towards the elevator.

“That could be Bruce and Layva!” Rolist informed them while standing up slowly, weary of his broken shoulder. “Come on!” Beangula and Nix joined him, leaving only Kai and Ravel. The second the adults left the room Clover threw her blankets off and stood.

“You’re awake!” Ravel cheered in excitement. “You shouldn’t be up just yet! You were knocked unconscious!” The redhead sternly informed her.

This from the girl who collasped to the floor and tried to crawl into Limbotory. Kai thought, but managed not to say.

Clover quickly shushed the girl. “I’m sorry, but I have to go.” Kai stood to his feet as he saw her grabbing an unbolt off the table.

“And where do you think you’re going?” He asked while blocking her way to the door. Clover hesitated and looked at the bandages wrapped around his arm.

“Move Kai. I could poke you right now and you’d fall over. And you know that’s not Bruce and Yilvox downstairs.”

The boy sighed in disbelief. “I’m sorry to say it, but you can’t beat him. None of us can! Bruce already went after her with Miracle Step and isn’t even back yet.”

“Clover…” Ravel said the girl’s name softly. “I know how you and Laylay feel, and I know what he took from you.  I can’t tell you to forget about your revenge, I can’t lie to you and say that we could make a difference.”
Clover peered deep into Ravel’s unwavering green eyes.

“But I can promise you this! That you don’t have to do it alone, that you’ll always have us here to fight beside you and to help you up when you fall.” She held out a hand from where she sat in the bed. “Please… stay here and trust us.”

Clover took a step back as emotions overwhelmed her. “I… I do.” She said quietly. “I do trust you all, but I… I!” She clutched her trembling fingers to her chest. “I’m sorry.” She said abruptly before activating her soul and gently pushing Kai out of the way. She began to run down the hall.

“Do you even have a plan?” Kai called out to her. She ignored him and kept going until she reached the garage, where the damaged limousine could be found.

Minutes later Clover was flying down the road of Limbotory towards the butcher’s shop she heard Bruce mention.

What am I even doing? She asked herself as she swerved around a hollow-eyed animalistic. The creature woke up and began to chase after her.

I’m just dead weight, I know that but I can’t sit in bed. I just can’t!

She winced as the nadir chasing her roared loudly. She resisted  the urge to form a gun and blast the creature, due to the fact that the sole usage would only bring more. It went against all of her training to be in Limbotory without her sole on. With her normal, dull senses and strength she felt naked in the parallel dimension, but it seemed the safest way to travel right now.

The nadir’s roaring attracted more to the area and soon there was a small group of animallistics chasing behind and flying above her. One of the smaller flyers swooped down and flew in through the hole in the roof.
