“If you insist!” Majesty said as the ground continued to shake. Suddenly a venus flytrap broke through the roof of the observatory, causing the Mercury model to come crashing down. Kai caught the planet with Pacifist and threw it at the Court leader. Faster than could be thought possible the fly trap extended and snatched the planet up with its dripping maw.

“Oh, but that’s not all!” Majesty mocked before snapping his fingers. In a flash of light, Army of One was activated and two clones split from the original flytrap, all three smashing their way into the building. The Horizons desperately dodged and deflected the large slabs of falling debris.

Clover blasted a chunk of rock to bits before it landed on her. She reformed her shotgun into a flamethrower and aimed it at the original flytrap.

“Oh no you don’t!” Majesty snapped his fingers again and the flytraps pulled out of the observatory. Outside, and away from view, the monster plants changed positions and returned to the holes they created. “Remember, two of these are clones.” He reminded Clover.

“If you destroy the wrong one this whole place is going to be turned into a matchbox!” He smiled down at the group. “It’s a one out of three chance. Go ahead… if you’re feeling lucky!”

Clover looked back and forth between the flytraps, trying to divulge which was the original. She swore and gave up.

Majesty pulled three items from his pocket. “I gave my Court these mystics, but they could barely utilize their true power.” He revealed the items to be a quill, a fang, and a small lizard bone. “As the ones who defeated them I’ll show you just why I expected more.”

Majesty threw one of each object into his flytrap’s mouth like openings. As the plants consumed the animal parts they began to morph. The one who ate the quill began to grow thousands! They emerged all over its stem and the inside of its maw. The consumer of the snake fang grew two of its own. A forked tongue bursted from its now venomous jaw and the creature hissed loudly at the Horizons.

The last flytrap, that had eaten the lizard bone, was taking the longest to change. Majesty laughed. “Were you all aware that right across the street of this observatory is a museum?”

Kai punched a section of roof falling towards him as he heard the Court’s leader speak.  His face paled upon realizing what the lizard bone truly was. Suddenly thick scales began to grow on the last flytrap. Two small arms grew out of the middle of the stem. The plant’s opening began to change shape and became more snout-like. Lastly sixty sharp teeth erupted from the monster’s new gums and the tyrannosaurus rex bellowed out an ear piercing roar.

As Bruce saw the monstrosity before him he dropped his sword to the ground, it disappeared in a puff of mist. “Can we please, bring Didrick back!” He begged.

The mutated flytraps surrounded the Horizons. All three reeled back their heads, preparing to attack. “Everyone!” Rolist shouted to his group. “Come to me!” Bruce was already hiding behind the man before he could finish his sentence. Just then the creatures unleashed their power.

The porcupine trap opened it’s maw, sending quills rocketing towards the group. The snake trap spewed a strong wave of venom, and the tyrannosaurus trap bared its teeth and went in for a powerful bite.

As the Horizons gathered around Rolist the man dropped to a knee and slammed the edge of his shield into the earth. A wall of pure noise was emitted from Safen Sound, protecting the group.

“Whoa!” Kai could not hold back his astonishment. “It’s like a dome of noise.”

“No.” Bruce added. “It’s more like a…” The two boys looked at each other in understanding.
