Kai knocked on Clover’s door, no answer. “I really hope you're dressed!” He informed her before walking into her room. The blond laid on her bed, heels discarded on the floor.  “I really don’t want to talk about it, Limitz.”

Kai sat down on the bed next to her. “Good, cause I’m not your therapist and I’m certainly not getting paid.” She gave a ghost of a smile, her lips bloody from her scrap with Layva. All was quiet for a few moments.

Kai smiled. “Hey! This is the first time I’ve seen you have a black eye that didn’t involve makeup.” Clover groaned and flipped over on her stomach. “Tonight I’ve been blown up, beaten up, and made a fool of myself, but your attempt at humor hurts more than anything else.”

Kai crossed his arms. “All of those things did happen, but in your defense Layva is in the same boat. That situation probably could have been handled better.”

“Ya think?” She said sarcastically. “I didn’t mean it, well, most of it that is. I know she didn’t kill my mother.” Kai looked around in confusion.
“Wait… do I look like a six foot tall, color blind, body builder girl?” He asked.

“I’m not playing along, Kai.”

“Do I match that description?”

“Give it up Limitz.”

“Cause I’m pretty sure the only six pack I have is in my fridge.”

“I get it, I get it!” Clover said. “You’re not Klevher.” She sighed.
“Thought not. So why are you apologizing to me?”
Clover glared at him. “I’m starting to wish you stayed in that burning building.”

The boy smiled at her. “Believe it or not I get that more than you’d expect.”

Ravel felt like she was on the verge of fainting as she ran to the only place she could think to find her friend. She only used her mystic when she was in privacy, it being of the utmost importance that no one untrustworthy found out. Because it was a secret, she had never trained with it, she’d never even named it! Tonight she had used it more than she ever had before.

Yet she pressed on, ignoring the reality that if her sole ran out she’d collapse to the ground with no way to get home. Eventually Ravel found her friend atop the library she loved so much. Realizing that the establishment had long since closed for the night she took a deep breath before using her remaining sole to leap straight up to the top of the fifty foot building.
The girl’s heart broke when she found Layva vomiting her guts out on the roof.
Ravel tried to take a step towards her friend, but the second she did her soul gave out on her and she collapsed. Layva turned to the commotion, finding Ravel on her stomach.

“Rave!” Layva ran over and scooped her friend into her arms. She carried her to the edge of the roof and sat her down, her legs dangeling over. “Your soul endurance is honestly probably about even with Bruce and Kai’s, you shouldn’t have strained yourself coming over here.” The dark haired girl backed away from her friend, keeping her distance.
Ravel tried a different approach. She put every ounce of love into her smile.

“Laylay!”

The tall girl looked over. Ravel patted the space on the edge next to her. “Come here and look at the stars with me!”

“Rave…” She said hesitantly. Ravel pouted and gave her the puppy dog eyes. Layva sighed and walked over, sitting on the edge. “It’s been so long since we looked at stars together!” Ravel said excitedly. “Do you remember the first night we did this?” She asked.

“No.” Layva said curtly.

“Laylay!” Ravel whined, shaking the other girl’s arm. “I know you remember!”
