Rolist, Nix, Beangula, and five other mystic users were crouched on a roof across the street of an old warehouse, on the edge of town. Mr. Safen looked to the other Horizion Guards around him. “Pasway, do you and your keep know the details of this plan?” The head of Keep Aldyed was a burly man. Pasway and Rolist had gone to the same training grounds together when they were younger.
The burly man let out a gravelly laugh and slapped Rolist on the back. “What do I look like Safey? Of course we know the plan!” He gestured to the other four people in his keep. “This,” he pointed to a woman wearing a trench coat and holding a bow and lindium tipped arrows, “is Sue Assad. She's a mistless, but her aim is… shot on!” The man laughed again. “Get it, Safey?”
Rolist forced a chuckle before looking at the three men standing behind Sue. “Hiya!” Said the shortest of the men with an Austrailian accent. “Name’s Perish, but you, bogans, can call me Perry. It’s a pleasure, mates.”
The last two were obviously twins and informed the three members of Keep Lively of their names. “Well,” Rolist said after the introductions were over “we’re glad you all came. Pasway, Sue, Perry...” He looked at the two twins. “I’m sorry. What were your names again?” The two twins saluted Rolist.
“I’m Dead!”
The first one said with a strong accent. Rolist, Nix, and Beanugla exchanged confused glances. “Don’t mind these two, Safey.” Pasway told the teacher. “They got the strongest accents in the keep. Their names are Dave and Dave Jr.”
“Most people just call me Dead two.” The second twin said with an accent just as strong as his brother’s.
“...Righttt” Rolist returned his attention back to Beangula. “You know what to do Angie.” The woman rolled her eyes at him. “Yes, believe it or not this isn’t the first time I’ve used my mystic for reconnaissance.” She actaviated her soul, causing her eyes to glow gray. “ Nix, Layva picked last time, so now it’s your turn.”
Nix sneered at the memory. “She picked a fly, how boring.” He thought for a second. “Oh! Make it a tiny serpiente.” The group looked at him. “Hey Safey.” Pasway whispered to Rolist. “Does he always talk in english then switch to spanish?”
Rolist nodded.
“Talk about unsubtle, what a weird bit.”
Rolist sighed, feeling a headach forming. Meanwhile Beangula used her mystic, Up and Summon , and in a flash of gray, light solidified into the form of a small, hollow, snake. Beangula pointed to the warehouse and the snake slithered down the building and towards it.
“Not a bad mystic!” Pasway complimented. “But it ain’t nothing compared to Perry’s. This guy might have one of the most powerful mystics I’ve ever seen! He’s so dangerous that this is the only mission I’ve ever given him permission to use it.”
Nix waited for the man to continue, when he didn’t he asked, “Well… what is it?” Perry laughed at the question and wagged his finger at Nix. “Wouldn’t you like to know. I won’t be questioned by the likes of mistless scum, you yobbo!” He looked at Beanugla. “Now, if the sheila asked, I'd be happy to answer.” Nix growled and pulled out one of his axes from the hoster on his back. Rolist grabbed the young man’s arm.
“Enough! We have bigger fish to fry than ourselves! This is exactly why I benched two highschool girls. I expect better from grown professionals!”
“Rolist.” Beangula said, bringing everyone back on track. “It matches our intel, five bodies. Presumably Baron, Duchess, Marquis, Count, and Majesty himself. All five of them are wearing heavy cloaks”
