"Great." Bruce muttered to himself. As soon as he got off the bus, he told Kai he would meet him later and ran off to the nearest bathroom. He now sat on the sink and attempted to scrub away the large syrup stain on his shirt. Once he removed as much as he could, he rushed to his first class, only to realize he didn't know where, or what, it was. Bruce pulled out his schedule from his backpack in the empty hall. "I'm already late to my first class, on my first day, and I still smell like an Ihop threw up on me!"

"Hey, everyone loves pancakes, so don't sweat it." Said a kind voice. "Besides, you ticked off Klevher, you should be happy you don't smell like a graveyard!"

Bruce turned to find the speaker, only to come face to face with Clover Nolass.

The boy, caught off guard by the stunning girl, stuttered.

"I-I don't, umm...who?" Only now that he was up close to her could see all of her details. Her eyes were a light blue, and her lovely lavender scent filled his nose. A multitude of ornate rings rested on her fingers, each one having a speck of gold coloring.

"Layva Klevher, the girl you had a run in with this morning, I hear she can be a handful." She beamed at him with kindness and understanding.

Bruce was thankful for his dark skin hiding his embarrassment and his renewed anger towards the girl, Layva Klevher. "O-oh, you knew about that?"

"Yes... sorry to bring it back up. But don't worry! I didn't tell anyone." She said while giving him puppy dog eyes. Bruce fought the urge to smile at her adorable gesture. "I don't mean to pry." Clover continued. "But you may want to avoid her, especially around lunch. We wouldn't want two meals on your shirt, now would we!" She winked and stuck out the tip of her tongue before walking towards the exit sign. Bruce couldn't help but notice how her full hips swung innocently the whole while.

Where is she off to? He wondered. Before he could ask, she was gone, leaving him alone in the hallway again.

Soon Bruce made it to his first period class eight minutes late, much to his Chemistry professor's annoyance. He recognized a few familiar faces and saw some new ones. Yet, his encounter with Clover still weighed on his mind.

How do they know each other? They don't really seem like each other's crowd. Bruce thought to himself as the day dragged on. They're nothing alike... Could they be old friends? A tremor of sadness rippled down his spine.

No... could they be... exes?!

That terrifying thought haunted him until he made it to his history class and saw Clover, well saw her groupies, sitting in the front of the room. He also noticed another face, in the very back of the class was the brightly attired, dark-haired girl, looking absolutely bored. "To the middle it is then.'' Bruce muttered while taking a seat.

Minutes ticked by before the History teacher entered the classroom. Bruce did a double take as the man walked in. He was huge! He stood at what must be six foot and eight inches and was all muscle, his hulking forearms were even apparent through his suit. All of the girls in the class had flirtatious smiles on their faces while curling their hair with a finger, much to the boys' dismay. Bruce couldn't see Clover's face from his seat, but he wondered if she was impressed.

He even turned back to see at Layva's expression, only to be met with the girl rolling her grey eyes at the other classes' reaction.

Man, she does that a lot. Bruce thought as their teacher spoke in a booming voice.

"Alright class my name is Mr. Safen, and this is my first year of teaching, so I hope you'll give me a break." He said with a smile that showed off every white tooth in his mouth.
