As layva walked out of the training room, leaving Bruce, she activated her soul and manifested a scarlet rapier, pointing it at the shadows.

“I know you're there,” she said calmly. “So come on out Nolass.”

Clover's beautiful face appeared from out of the shadows. She had no makeup on, but her tan skin was still stunning. Her long, braided blond hair was lazily thrown over one shoulder, and Layva couldn't help but notice her perfect body. Which was apparent even with her plain t-shirt on.

Why does she have to look so damn good all the time?! Layva wondered to herself with no small amount of annoyance.

“I'm impressed you noticed me,” the girl said with a grin. Layva rolled her eyes.

“Your breaths weren't timed right.” Layva looked the girl up and down before sneering. “I'm not impressed.”

“You'd be the first,” Clover said while gesturing to her chest.

“What do you want?” Layva snapped, lowering the sword. “Maybe you want a rematch? Is your ass not sore enough yet.” Clover's smile dropped from her face as she stepped closer. Layva had her sword raised in an instant, but the golden haired girl ignored it as she got close enough to kiss Layva's cheek.

“I heard what you were saying to the cannon fodder in there,” she whispered. Layva felt every nerve in her body tense.

“You… are a bitch and a liar.” Clover snarled into her ear. Layva jumped back, and pointed her sword at the girl's throat… only to find a golden sniper rifle aimed between her eyes.

“ You don't know a damn thing!” Layva hissed through her teeth, hoping Bruce couldn't hear them from the training room. “If you say one more word, one more word about my past you'll find yourself without a future.”

Clover didn't flinch at the words or the sword poised to bury itself in her throat. Her glowing golden eyes were as furious as Layva's. “ That little scuffle on the roof was only a fraction of the havoc my kind can wreak Klevher.” She spat the name with venom.

Layva ignored the sniper rifle pointed at her. She ignored the fact that not even she would be able to reinforce her head with enough S.O.L.E before the golden bullet splattered her brains onto the granite walls.

“ I don't know who the hell you are, or what I've done to you, but I'm telling you this once. Back off.” The lethal intent behind the words couldn't be ignored. After a few more seconds Clover smoothed her face into a calm swagger before she vanished her mystic. Layva quickly did the same.

“ Don't be so serious Klevher.” She said, her golden glowing eyes returning to a normal blue, as she turned towards the training room, leaving her back turned to Layva. “After all,” she continued. “Wouldn't want to soil your family's name now would you?” She smiled over her shoulder before she sashayed into the training room.

You are the most pathetic man on this earth. Bruce said to himself as he stood in the empty training room. He had no idea why he had told her he was scared. He should have kept it to himself. I may not know a damn thing about you, but I can understand the desire to protect your family. What she told him about her parents, how they died…

My mother and my father are both trapped in that monster, forever in agony and darkness until the day that nadir is killed.

A fate worse than death. He had never seen eyes as cold as hers were when she touched on her past.

You expect yourself to be able to save your family like this? Your arrogance is going to get you, and everyone you love killed!”

No wonder she hated him. She had lost what he still had. No wonder she was so angry when she thought he was slacking. He sighed to himself, not hearing the training room door open.
