"Aye Winter?! Can we talk right quick please?" King called out to me as he ran to try and catch up with me. Roya and I were on our way out of the dance studio when he came up behind us. We both turned around and looked at him.
"What's wrong King?" I asked him.
"Um, can I ask you a favor? It's about me and Ricky."
"Is everything ok between the two of you? I mean you have seemed a bit off lately." Roya asked King before I could even get the words out of my mouth.
"Yeah, everything is fine. I actually have been hiding something though. I want to surprise him tomorrow night."
"Oh really?! With what? Do you know what you want to do yet?" I asked him.
"Well, I want to ask him to marry me, and I was hoping we could use your club to throw a small surprise party for him because I also want to congratulate him on getting into his dream college."
"OMG!" Roya squealed in aw while I just couldn't help but smile at my friend. I'm really happy for him and I really hope this goes the way that he wants, and I will make sure to do what I can to help him out.
"I'll set everything up."
"Thank you so much Winter! That means the world to me."
"Of course, you know I got you. I hope he says yes."
"Me too."
"Right, well Winter and I have to get going so we'll see you around King." Roya started pulling me as she wanted to make it clear that we had to leave.
"Yeah, we got some things to take care of. We'll see you later."
"Ok, bye." We waved to each other as Roya, and I left the studio and King went back over to the others.
Roya and I went to the locker rooms to change out of our dance clothes and hop into quick showers. We put our regular clothes on and started leaving out towards the school's entrance. Roya wanted me to go shopping with her so that we could pick out some outfits for graduation pictures. We ended up inviting Christina to join us so that she would be able to get her outfit and would have to bug me about going with her. I also figured it would be fun for them to hang out and get to know each other a bit more. As long as I have known and been friends with both of these girls, they actually barely knew about each other.
I really don't even talk about them to each other. I tend to be secretive like that. I keep my dance team life separate from my regular/playgirl life. Therefore, I have quite a few friends that legit have no clue about each other. Either way I just want to get this over with cause I hate shopping.
Once Roya and I made it out to the front of the school near the parking lot, I spotted Christina standing near my car just scrolling through her phone and taking pictures. Roya and I walked over and as we got closer; I grabbed her attention.
"Yo, Chris you ready to go or you gonna keep smiling at your phone like a lovesick puppy?"
"Yeah, I was just waiting on you two." I nodded at Christina as I unlocked the car and she and Roya got into the car. I followed behind them and got into the car myself. Roya and I sat in the front and Christina got in the back and sat behind Roya. I started up the car and pulled off and drove over to the mall.
The drive over wasn't long, only about 10 to 15 minutes. We stayed quiet the whole time and just listened to the music that was playing on the radio. I was focused on the road while Roya looked out the window and Christina was on her phone. Once we arrived at the mall, I pulled into the parking lot and took a spot not too far away from the entrance to the mall. Without having to even say anything everyone went ahead and got out of the car. The three of us walked up to the door as we went into the building and headed straight for the dress shops so that we could start looking for the outfits that we wanted for the pictures.
