"Morning Winter!" Jason said cheerfully as I made my way into the kitchen for breakfast. Nick, Jason, Derrick and Raven along with their daughter Emily were seated around the table waiting on me so that we could start eating. I responded with the same energy as I gave Jason and Nick a morning hug and took a seat between the two of them.
Even though it's been some years I haven't forgiven Raven and Derrick for what they did to me. I mean I don't have any grudges, at least not exactly. However, we still have a lot of work to do to get back on the level that me and her were on before what happened between the two of them. As for Derrick, I don't think we'll ever get there but I mean even though I'm not blood family to them, she's still my sister and her daughter is my niece so why not get a somewhat good relationship with her mother, so she doesn't have to be surrounded by unneeded drama at a young age.
"Do you have any plans for today?"
"Uh, yeah. I was planning to stop by the club tonight since it's been so long since I've been there."
"Wait, I thought you agreed to go to Iris's bridal shower that's tonight. The two of them get married tomorrow." Raven spoke as she placed another fork full of food into her mouth. Everyone else turned to me in curiosity to figure out what I was going to say.
"I changed my mind. I'm honestly not really in a party mood right now. I just got back in town last night and was surprised with a party for my birthday without really having the time to settle. I've been extremely stressed from the challenges at work, and I just need a chance to relax and enjoy one night to myself before I get into a celebration mode."
"Yeah, you're right. Sorry about that little sis. I know it's been a lot for you."
"It's fine Jason. I'll be leaving tonight and will try to come back in the morning or late tonight."
"Alright. Just be safe alright."
"I will. I promise."
We finished up breakfast and caught up on what we've missed and how everyone has been over these past few years. After that I went to the gym and had about an hour or two of a workout and after that I came back home and showered so that I could start getting ready to go to the club tonight. I wore something pretty and sexy. Something that would probably get me in some trouble but fuck it. I need a distraction and a night of fun. Besides, I'm not stupid and I'll be careful and shit.
I put on a black laced bra with a mesh mini skirt that showed my black laced underwear. Fishnet gloves and tights along with black knee-high boots. I wore a black leather choker collar with the word "Goddess" spelt on the front of it. I tied my hair up into a high ponytail with large, hooped earrings. After I finished getting dressed, I put on some makeup. I wore some glittery gray eyeshadow, long fake eyelashes, and some black lipstick.
I grabbed my purse and phone along with my keys and walked out of my room going downstairs so that I could be on my way to the club.
"Damn, haven't seen you in something like that for a minute."
"What do you want, Raven? I need to get going."
"Nothing. I was just getting ready to head downstairs to get something to eat."
"Alright, well I'm leaving out now, so I'll see you guys later."
With that I left out getting in my car and leaving for the club. The second I got in the club I saw just how much it has stayed the same since I last was here. However, to my surprise as I was scanning the floor, I saw Aaron and his friends sitting at a booth not too far away from me. Hoping that I wouldn't be seen I started making my way to the bar but of course was stopped by a grip on my wrist. Turning around I was faced with Aaron.
