Roman's door opened once more. He groaned, knowing what'll come. Doodles and Eden came in, another mischevious smile on the shorter ones lips.
"I know that smile," Roman said, "What'll be now? Angst? Muder? Heartbreak?"
Doodles laughed
"How silly! I'm doing fluff!"
Roman glared at them, then Eden. Em wasn't joking.
"Why do you have the same face than when you do angst then? W H Y?"
"It's fun," Doodles shrugged, "Besides, if you want some angst- well, hurt confort, you should ask Eden for it."
"A long, fun thing is comming up soon," They grinned.
"And I helped!" Doodles chirped in, "I was a translator!!"
"I'm scared," Roman mumbled
"You should be! But now we have fluff, so don't worry!" Doddles snapped eirs fingers, making Roman dissapear. Patton, Logan and Virgil dissapeared as well, leaving the place empty for Janus and Remus mischiviousness.

Mid-summer sun's rays showered down the sky, making all surfaces they touched glimmer with its brightness. The castle's pure white walls shone with a blinding light, making any visitors unable to look at it for more than a second before feeling their eyes sore.

The prince wasn't affected by the light; at least not too much. From the balcony of the second floor, he looked down at the immense garden, altho his sight wasn't focused on the rose bush labyrinth, nor the fountain with the diamond water. No; his sight was focused on something much smaller but much more beautiful to the prince's eyes.

This interest of his was one of the gardeners. But not any of them. It was the one with sun-touched golden curls, tanned skin from the hours outside and bright sky-blue eyes hidden away by round, slightly muddy, glasses. The man wore denim overalls with a white shirt underneath, a straw hat sitting on his head to block out the sun. At the moment, he was watering one of the many bushes, an action very much needed during the heat months so that none of the plants would dry out.

Why was the prince so focused on this one gardener, you may be asking? Well, it wasn't a simple question. There were many things about the flower boy that made the prince be mesmerized by him. For example, there was the way his smile lit up a room. Or the way his laugh sounded just like the songs of a thousand birds. Or the small dimples that formed on the sides of his mouth when he smiled. Or his mannerisms, always gesturing with his hands when he talked. Or how he always seemed to have a rose freshly cut when the prince passed by. Or the jokes and puns he found for any and every situation. Or his kindness, having once mentioned how he kept a bird with a broken wing in fear that he'd die.

These and many more things where the ones that made prince Roman smile when he walked down the halls, the ones that made him zoom out for undefined periods of time, the ones that made his heart beat a thousand times faster with the sole mention of his name: Patton.

This was also the reason why he caught himself staring at the working man. Except he wasn't working anymore. He was looking up, towards the castle. Towards the balcony. Right at the prince.

Roman jumped back, his face becoming the same shade as the sash he wore, the butterflies from his stomach awakening and turning wild. When he felt recollected enough, he stole another glance out the balcony, wondering if he'd meet the other's eyes again. To fortune or misfortune, the flower boy was focused on his work once more. It could've been an illusion caused by the great distance that separated them, but the prince believed to have seen his smile increase and his cheeks redden.
