I woke up a few hours later, still wrapped in James's arms. He was snoring lightly so I carefully moved his arm from on top of me and moved over to the other side of the air bed. I could hear talking from the kitchen and hoped that no one had seen me and James cuddling because it might be awkward.
"Mornin'" Charlie said in a deep morning voice. I turned over to look at him and he smiled kindly.
"Hey" I yawned, rubbing my eyes.
"Didn't you get much sleep?" He asked, moving over to sit on the couch near me. I shook my head, moving to sit next to him.
"I couldn't stop thinking about my mum. It's just hard to get my head around" I said. Charlie put his arm around me and pulled me into a hug.
"You'll be okay, try not to worry about it too much. Anyway we have something planned for you and Reece which will probably help take your mind off things" he said, smiling cheekily.
"Thank you. Wait what've you got planned?" I asked.
"No, I shouldn't have said anything. You'll find out later, in going for breakfast now" he laughed, getting up and walking out the door.
"But Charlie you can't just-" I said but he'd already gone. I smiled, thinking of what they had planned. I thought that I should probably wake James up so people could come into the living room.
"Oi, wake up" I said, shaking him. He groaned and sat up.
"Listen, you don't utter a word about the kiss last night. I'm not saying it's not gonna happen again but keep your mouth shut about it, I can't have Reece finding out okay?" I whispered urgently. He nodded and I walked out of the room into the kitchen.
Everyone was stood around the kitchen, either eating or talking to one another. I saw Reece talking to Barclay and Casey and went over to them.
"Hey babe" Reece said, wrapping his arms around my waist. "Did you get much sleep last night?"
"Not really no" I said, yawning again.
"Bet you missed my cuddles too much didn't you?" He said, joking.
"Oh yes of course Reece" I replied smiling. I turned to see James walking into the kitchen. He caught my eye and smiled before walking over to Charlie and Chris. I think back to last night, God help me if Reece finds out. It's weird though, I don't regret it like I did the first time he kissed me, I almost enjoyed it.
"Do you want something to eat?" Casey asked, offering me a piece of toast.
"I'm not hungry" I replied, moving to sit on one of the stools next to the island in the middle of the kitchen. They were talking about doing something today, I think we were going to go into Manchester or something.
"Is it okay if I invite Toni? I've not seen her in a few weeks" Jake asked and we all nodded. I love Toni, we've been talking for so long but just don't see each other as often as we would like.
"Alice you need to have something to eat" Reece said from behind me.
"I'm not hungry" I repeated.
"Suit yourself, if you just want to let yourself starve then go ahead" he said, clearly annoyed. He walked off over to the lads and I got up and went to get ready. I wasn't in the mood to deal with Reece's moods.
I walked into mine and Reece's room to find Lynsey in there. I said a friendly hi and grabbed some clothes and went into the bathroom to get changed. I put on a plain pink top with a hoodie over the top and a pair of black jeans. I walked back into the room to do my hair and Lynsey was still in there sorting out some of her things.
"I'm sorry to hear about your mum Alice" she said. I thanked her and put my hair up into a ponytail. I put on my usual make up and headed for the door.
"Are you and Reece okay? He just came up to get something and seemed in a bad mood" Lynsey asked.
"Yeah we're fine, it's nothing" I said, walking out onto the landing. Lynsey followed me and gave me a hug.
"I can't imagine how you feel now, but you know you can talk to me and we'll all be here for you" she said kindly. I thanked her again and walked downstairs to find nearly everyone ready to go out. We were getting a few taxis into Manchester and then Lexi and Sydney wanted to go ice skating so I guess we'd all just do whatever.
When we all got to Manchester we walked over to the ice rink, which was still open from the Christmas markets, and waited for Toni to arrive. She walked up five minutes later, giving Jake a hug and kiss and then coming and giving me a hug. All of the boys families had gone to get ice skates on which left the lads and me and Toni.
"Right you two" Barclay said, pointing at me and Reece. He looked over at me expressionless, he hadn't spoke to me since this morning and seemed in a really bad mood. "We all think that you both need a break because you've got a lot going on right now. Alice you're going to go shopping with Toni, she'll tell you what you need and Reece you're coming with us. When you're done you're going back to the house to get ready and they'll be a taxi waiting for you at 6:30 to take you both out okay. We've planned this as an extra little Christmas present for you both so you should probably sort out whatever has happened, even if it's nothing" he said.
I nodded and looked over at Reece, smiling apprehensively and wondering what this was all about. He didn't bother to return the smile, what was his problem today?!
"Well let's go then" he said, getting up and walking off, the boys trailing behind him giving me questioning looks. I decided I'd try and sort things tonight, wherever we were going.

This is a longish chapter, well longer than usual and it's just kind of a filler chapter. Hope it's still okay though :)
