Chapter 37

I woke up the next morning to the sound of Lexi knocking on the door telling me and Reece to get up because it was Christmas Day.

"Merry Christmas babe" Reece said, leaning over and giving me a kiss on the cheek.

"Merry Christmas" I smiled. We both got up and followed Lexi downstairs. There was a big pile of presents under the tree, the majority for Lexi and Reece. I went to the kitchen and made us all a cup of tea as Lexi began opening her presents.

Reece then opened his from all of his family and my presents last. I got him a Blackburn Rovers shirt, some Lynx, a phone case with Nutella on it, a photo frame with three pictures in it (one of me and him, one of him and his family and one of him and the rest of Stereo Kicks) and VIP tickets to watch a Blackburn Rovers match.

"Wow Alice I love them so much, thank you" he said, hugging me and kissing me on the cheek. "Now you open yours" he said. He passed me a large gift bag, filled to the brim with presents.

"There's loads" I said, shocked at the amount of presents that were inside the bag.

"Shush and get on with opening them" Reece smirked. I laughed and took the first present from the top. It was a new pair of white converse. Other presents included a Warrington Wolves rugby shirt (I'm a big rugby fan and had wanted one of the shirts for ages), a Micheal Kors bag, Tiffany and Co earrings and necklace, some Mac makeup, a black skater dress, Cheeky Alice perfume, black wedge heels, a phone case with me, him and the other lads on and the new Paramore album.

"Reece there's so much, it's all amazing, thank you" I said, smiling and cuddling up to him on the floor.

"I want to talk to you upstairs in a bit" he whispered in my ear. Jamie and Lynsey both opened the remaining presents before tidying the house because some of their family was coming round. Reece led me upstairs and sat me down on the bed. He sat down next to me and put his arms around me.

"I'm proud of you" he said. "You've come so far this year and you've got so much stronger. I have to admit there were times this year where I thought I was going to lose you and that you were going to actually kill yourself because I saw how bad you got and I'm sure there were times where you thought that too. But you've battled through them and even though you still struggle with certain things I'm so proud of you for getting to where you are today. I've been here for you every step of the way, you know that, and I'll still be there for however long it takes. I love you so so much and you mean the world to me. I know that you're not telling me something and that's why you've been quiet over the past few days but I really hope you tell me and I want you to because I just need to know that you're okay babe. I love you so much." Tears were running down my face as Reece spoke and I leant into him, resting my head on his chest.

"I'm okay, I promise. I love you so much too, thank you for everything" I replied, sitting up and kissing him on the lips.

"Could you do one more thing for me though? As an extra Christmas present to me that would make me feel a lot better" he said, sounding kind of serious. I nodded.

"I want your blades. All of them. I want you to give them to me so you can't use them. I won't throw them away, I just want them so you know that even though they are there you are strong enough to not need them or use them" he said bluntly.

"Reece I can't. I've relied on them too much" I said, not meeting his eyes.

"Please Alice. I can't stand to see you hurting yourself and I just want you to be okay" he replied, giving me puppy dog eyes.

"I only have one with me, the rest are back at the house" I sighed, reaching into a pocket in one of my bags and pulling out a blade. I gave it to Reece and he smiled.

"I only want to help you babe" he said, pulling me back onto the bed and into a hug. He kissed the top of my head and I wrapped my arms around his waist, hugging him tight.

"The family are going to be here in about half an hour" I heard Lynsey shout from downstairs.

"I need to get ready" I said to Reece, giving him a quick kiss before walking into the bathroom to have a shower.

I hope this chapter is okay, I'm just trying to pass a bit of time but still want it to be a good fic. I've been really busy at the minute and I have a lot of stuff on my mind and don't feel my best so sorry if the updates seem a bit rushed and aren't too good.

Could I ask you all one quick favour though? If you could, can you please leave your thoughts on the fanfic and the chapters and stuff in the comments because at the minute not a lot of people comment and so I don't know whether people are enjoying the fanfic or not and I don't really have a lot to go off. Also if you have any plot ideas or improvements or any plots you would like me to carry on then please please comment them because I want to know people's reactions and if they like what I'm writing because if they don't then there isn't much point in carrying this on. I enjoy writing this fanfic and I just hope that everyone reading this is enjoying it too. Thank you guys, ily all x
