I was so excited to get home. My dad had told me that my phone would be in the living room because he would be at work when I got back like always. The door was already unlocked when I got to my house so my step-brother must have got home before me. Great, I really just wanted some time to myself. I rushed to the living room and grabbed my phone. It was dead. Once I had plugged it in and turned it on, messages were flooding through from my friends in a group chat. And there it was, right in the middle of them saying "Reece Bibby sent you a direct message". I could feel tears in my eyes already as I opened the message.

Reece: hi, my cousin text me saying you could do with cheering up because you've been a bit sad lately. I hope you've not been too sad but I just wanted to tell you to stay strong because everything is going to be okay. I've just looked through your tweets and you do seem very unhappy. I'd hate to think of anyone being that desperately sad, especially one of our fans. So stay strong babe, I love you xxx

Oh my god. I was crying so much I could hardly see the screen. I must have been quite loud aswell because I heard my step-brother running down the stairs.

"Alice are you okay?" He said when he saw me, sitting next to me. We had always been close and he is always there for me, which is sweet.

"I'm fine honestly Liam" I said, wiping my eyes and passing him my phone.

"Wait is this that Bibby guy that you're always banging on about?" He said and I nodded. He hugged me tight as a huge smile spread across my face.

"I'm so happy for you Alice, you need to listen to him okay because he's right, you need to stay strong" he said. Liam knew a lot of things about me that no one else did and that's what made us so close. He let go of me and walked back upstairs as the front door opened. My dad walked past and looked at me. I didn't even look up at him, just stared at my phone.

"Typical, straight on her phone" I heard him mutter before he slammed the door to his office. Another bad day at work I'm guessing. But nothing could dampen my mood right now. I began typing a message back to Reece:

"Thank you so much Reece, it means a lot. I love you so much xxx"

Within 5 minutes he had messaged me back:

"If anytime you want to talk or just let things out I'm here and I'll listen and try and help you okay. But I think it would be best if you text instead of dm because there are other people that are on this account, ask Lewis for my number ;) xxx"

I was grinning like an idiot, I couldn't believe this was happening. I owed Lewis so much for this. I needed to return the favour when we went back to school after the holidays. But I never got the chance.
