it's been two days since Meredith went missing. I'm at home with Greyson he keeps crying but I don't know what else to do.

I carried him into the living room and picked up my phone. I dialled my mom's number and let it ring.

It rang a few times before she answered.

"Hello, Derek?" She said into the phone.

"Ma, Greyson's crying nonstop and I don't know what to do I've tried everything and nothing is working"

"He might just miss Meredith. I'll be over in a sec" she replied.

"Thank you," I said before hanging up.

It was without a doubt because he missed Meredith, we both do but nobody can find her. I have about three hundred guys out looking for her right now and they say they might know where she is but that's all they have which isn't much.

I haven't heard anything from the guys that took her. Greyson finally calmed down in my arms. I brought him over to the bassinet and laid him down inside of it. I saw something pop up on my laptop from the corner of my eyes.

I went back over to my laptop and checked it, it was a video from an unknown number. I clicked on the video and waited for it to play.

the video was of some guy I didn't know what it was until I saw the camera move towards the other side of the room and I saw Meredith. he tortured her until she was bleeding and passed out on the cement ground.

the camera moved back to the guy where Meredith was out of frame. he said if I wanted her back I have to give them 10 million dollars,

I was furious but I was too mad to cry. I heard a knock at the door. I closed the laptop and answered the door. I went over to the door and opened it to see my mother.

"is he that hard?" she asked when she saw I had tears in my eyes.

"uhh yea" I lied. "where's dad?" I asked her.

"he's in the car, he never lets me drive alone," she said taking Greyson out of the bassinet.

"Thanks," I said and went outside.

I went outside and saw my dad sitting in the car. I opened the passenger car door and got in.

"Some assholes kidnapped Greyson and told Meredith if she wanted him to come home safe and alive she had to give herself up. she met him up somewhere and told me she was going to a friend's place. they dropped him off at my office and took her. they just sent me a video, they tortured her until she was bleeding and passed out on the ground, they said that if I want her back I have to give them 10 million dollars" I told him all at once.

he looked at me a bit shocked at first.

"you gonna do it?" he asked after a few seconds.

"I want her back, I have more than that than I can easily give it to them. I want her back and I don't want her to suffer more than she has to" I said wiping the few tears that fell down my cheek.

"don't give them the money, it'll only make you look weak and pathetic, and who says they're actually gonna give her back. show me the video" he said.

"what? no, I don't want you to see her like that" I told him.

"just show me the video and I guarantee I'll be able to tell you where it is, he said taking a puff from his cigar.

"fine" I sighed. I took my phone out of my pocket and showed him the video.

"easy, it's in the middle of the of a huge forest there's a small cabin with a basement. she's there" he told me handing me the phone back. he looked out the window quickly trying to hide the tear that fell when I showed him the video.

"where is it?" I asked.

"I'll take you there it's pretty hard to find, when do you want to go?"

"as soon as possible"

"you're mom's fine with Grey, let's go now," he said starting the car.

he drove out of the parking lot. we eventually got to a place with a lot of trees. he drove into the forest until we got to a small cabin, it looked pretty old and looked like it was going to break down with a gust of wind came.

I got out of the car and kicked the door down, it wasn't even locked. I walked into the cabin. I walked down the hallway. I got to a large wooden door. I kicked that down because it was locked. I walked down the stairs and pulled out my gun from its holster.

when I stepped on the last step it broke, I heard something move. I turned to look where I sound came from, I saw Meredith laying down on the floor still injured and passed out. I pulled off my long coat and wrapped it around her small body, she looked thinner than she did two days ago.

I picked her up and made sure she was fully covered. tears filled my eyes as I kissed her on the head. I looked around a bit to see if I could find something, I found three IDs in a box, I put them in my pocket and left.

I carried her outside to the car and laid her down in the back and buttoned the coat fully. I went around to the front and got into the passenger seat.

"Why aren't we leaving?" I asked him, putting on my seatbelt.

"Just wait," he said looking out the window.

a car pulled up and three guys got out of the car and walked towards us. I and my dad got out of the car.

"you found us, how'd you do that?" one of them asked when I got out.

"now I see how you got daddy to help you," another one said when they saw my dad.

I didn't say anything before pulling out my gun and shooting one in the head while my dad shot another, the last guy tried running but tripped on a branch, we both shot him multiple times.

we got back in the car and drove back to the house. he parked in the parking lot while I got Meredith out from the back. I carried her into the house and ignored my mom's questions.

I laid her in bed and waited for her to wake up.
