THE DAYS LEADING UP TO THE FOURTH OF JULY COULD'VE KILLED SHERRY WITH ANTICIPATION.

After her mother had left Hogwarts as soon as the meeting with Dumbledore and his family had ended, Sherry had been extremely looking forward to when she would see her again. She needed someone she loved, trusted, knew almost everything about her and someone that she could talk to, if her mother came home for the holiday that they would celebrate then Sherry would be able to talk to her and would probably feel much better after even one proper conversation.

But since they left school on the 25th of June, there was 9 days to kill before she could see her mother and each day had been more tedious than the last. She spent her days locked in her room, sleeping and flipping through magazines, listening to music, sleeping some more, mainly anything that didn't cause herself to do any activity except from when she was called down for dinner by the Lupins.

Staying with the family was slightly better than Sherry had expected, they left her alone when she wanted to be alone. She presumed that Remus had told his what had happened and so they left her to cope or whatever until dinner where they managed to coax her out of her room and she came down to set the table with Remus who was as lovely as ever. Sherry was still mad at him for making up with Potter but they had been told to stop their arguments after they had fought across the dinner table.

"You're fucking kidding me, right?" Sherry looked up from her plate of spaghetti that she had been picking at with her fork over to Remus opposite her who was chewing on some pasta before taking drink of his glass of water in front of him. "'He made a mistake' A mistake my ass, how can you say that?"

"He didn't mean for it to affect you as much as he did." Remus stated again and Sherry scoffed, letting her fork clatter down to her plate whilst she sat back and crossed her arms over her chest, shaking her head and glaring. "You should have seen him on the train, he was ridden with guilt! And he apologised to you!"

"He humiliated me!" Sherry countered.

The two of them then launched into overlapping speeches, volume getting louder and louder with every swear word they said and Hope and Lyall both tried to settle them down but the teenagers were louder. Sherry pointed at him fiercely and Remus rolled his eyes a couple of times  which had Sherry laughing wryly and continuing to argue, this was the first real argument that they had ever had and Lyall always knew that his son was slightly short-tempered and judging from Sherry's likeness to her mother and her overall attitude, he knew she had the same.

"Hey, hey, hey, hey, no!" Hope raised her voice, cutting off the argument between the two teenagers as they stared at her and her face had grown stern. "We are not having this ruin a perfectly nice dinner, okay? Argue all you want when he arrives-" Sherry furrowed her eyebrows and her head snapped towards the woman. "- but for now can we please eat our spaghetti in peace."
