"CHEERS TO THE CHASER WHO WON IT ALL!"

All around the Ravenclaw Common Room, cheers rose and glasses clinked in celebration as music from one of the many great wizarding bands according to Oliver floated through the Ravenclaw common room at a high volume. It welcomed the star players of that days game with glorious splendour as they came out from their staircases in suitable party clothes instead of their wet and grimy Quidditch robes.

Everyone was given time to dry off and clean up before the official celebrations began yet somehow Sherry still descended into the party fashionably late. But by that time every light had shone on Eleanor and every pat had been on her back, she had performed exceptionally well in her first match and she was enjoying some of the attention. Apart from the fact that her classmates spent their time scowling.

She had even tried to grab a stronger drink but Louis had been there shaking his head before she put her hand on it. If she had, she would've gotten shocked because she was under fifth year, those were the enchantments that Louis had decided on and what Oliver had argued against. But Sherry was still getting ready, so Amber and Louis won against him easily.

The joy that Eleanor felt when people came and complimented her on her Quidditch skills instead of her long black silky hair and 'cute' face was incomparable to anything she had ever felt before. They were all in the years above her, nobody from second year said anything to her and she thought that maybe she preferred it that way.

"Hey Zane, amazing skills out there today." James Potter had approached her when she went to a desolate corner to take a breather from all the attention everybody was giving her. "Cant wait to play against you in the Ravenclaw vs Gryffindor game!"

"I'm sure you'll win." She mentioned sheepishly,  brushing her baby hairs away from her face and taking a small sip of water to fill the slight awkwardness. James Potter was not someone she knew how to get along with.

Everyone had heard what he'd done to Sherry and everyone had let it blow over, James was James and Sherry was Sherry and everyone had forgotten about it. Except for Sherry, who Eleanor knew was struggling to forgive James no matter what. About the thing and about their large argument in Dumbledores office which Eleanor knew a lot about.

That was why it was quite awkward. This boy had stood by whilst his friend ruined a girl's life and then confessed his love to said girl before giving her any time to heal and process it. It was a messy situation and Eleanor could see that James was always trying to make up for it.

The fight, for example. The way he told people off for talking about the incident like it was a joke. His non-pestering attitude towards Sherry since the fight in the office and just overall his nice guy persona. He was changing, or at least attempting to bar the insults he still said to Snape sometimes. But everyone at Hogwarts could see that James Potter had become a little bit less of a dick.
