"HEY GUYS." Sherry only returned to her friends at lunch time, sliding onto the smooth oak bench like she hadn't just randomly disappeared for break and third period, leaving her friends to survive through Defence Against the Dark Arts with Slughorn covering for Professor Greene. They were more than relieved to see her enter the hall with her bag slung over her shoulder and no physical injury.

"And where've you been?" Amber got straight to the point, her eyes narrowing into slits at the sight of the girl. Sherry took her bag off of her shoulder and deposited it under the table, seemingly in quite a chipper mood and it made Amber look around at Louis and Oliver suspiciously who didn't see any difference at all.

"With Dumbledore." The girl shrugged her shoulders, digging into the platters of sandwiches along the Ravenclaw table. She put a couple on her plate before pouring some water from a big pitcher into her small goblet. "He just wanted to talk to me about stuff."

Amber certainly knew better then to pry into what Sherry's private conversations were about, of course there's a general privacy rule but also with Sherry, you could never know what was going to happen. The girl had a very interesting, albeit stressful, life that Amber could never compare her own to and every year felt like a new challenge for Sherry. Although the González siblings had their fair share of money troubles and Louis was orphaned very young, all of that went away when they were at Hogwarts...Sherry's troubles followed her.

At least one of them was done now, the Potter problem, which the consequences of still remained unknown to all of them. Even Sherry wasn't sure what was going on between the two, which Amber had prior knowledge of from their late night dorm room talks. Oliver speculated that James was going to make some big grand gesture and ask her out, though Sherry didn't seem to like that idea much. Louis reckoned that he was waiting for her to talk to him, but Sherry being Sherry just refused.

Amber didn't know what James might be planning, she had her own troubles to worry about. Nico, whom she had met the previous year and had a tiny attraction to, completely screwed her over. So much so that Sherry had to be restrained from attacking the girl in the middle of the lesson, well that was until Nico was expelled for something. The whole friend group was suspicious of what Sherry might've done when the news had spread, but she claimed she did nothing.

It had left Amber a bit dejected, but now something was growing inside of her, a feeling for someone else that she hated. Despised. She wished it would leave, for everyone's sake. But it didn't and there was no way she could tell Sherry about it. The general rule of privacy, just like she would respect with Sherry who just carried on eating her sandwich.

"You're coming to Potions, though, right?" Louis asked after having finished his water, Sherry looked at him from across the table where she sat beside Oliver and nodded with a simple, tiny smile. "Good. Because Slughorn is on my ass about the Slug Club, he keeps mentioning this Christmas party thing and how he wants your input but since you've not been to any meetings..."
