The vampire was hunched over a stake centimetres from his heart. His fangs came out as they sliced through his gums his skin pale and his orange eyes remained narrowed at his torturer. A bucket of cold water was thrown over him.

"Wake up!" His torturer growled, all the vampire could see were red eyes glaring at him. He simply looked at him in response, his mouth in a straight line as he looked unamused.

"I have been alive for centuries, seen kingdoms rise and fall! Do you think a simple stake can hold me demon?" He asked roaring with laughter as his back fell against the wood.

A feminine voice broke him from his laughter her voice bitter "we gave you a home and a job despite your species and this is how you repay us!" The vampire looked up at her, her voice regal and powerful not to mention familiar.

"Hello, my queen, what is a monarch like you doing visiting a lowly prisoner like myself?" He said with mock politeness.

Raven simply leaned against the wall, looking at her nails calmly as she gestured for the torturer to continue his work. The room was cold and blood soaked the walls. Raven could hear the vampire's howls of pain as she watched the stake get twisted in and out of his body his screams were like nails on a chalkboard. It was eerie as silence swept through the room it was clear that the vampire had fallen unconscious from the sheer pain.

"Raven!" Damian called, armour dawning his body like a second skin as he stood beside her. Looking at their new prisoner the wedding celebrations had since been postponed because of the attack. Damian's mother had escaped the turmoil, her last words echoed in his head as she rushed out of the room.

"Don't fall in love my son, it ruins your life." She whispered in his ear unaware that Damian already had fallen, he had fallen for his 'angel' Raven. Damian wrapped his arms around Raven's torso, surprisingly the young demoness didn't object to his actions, despite the fact that they had only known each other for a short time. But, with her permission he pressed a soft kiss to her forehead.

Damian looked upon the torturer's selection of toys each specialised to cause the vampire as much pain as possible. He smiled slightly, gratitude flooded his body he was thankful that the torturer was doing such a good job and made a mental note to thank the demon for his services to the crown.

Before giving his wife his full attention "you shouldn't watch this, it is clear you cared for this creature". He said kissing her hair which had since fallen to her shoulders. Raven smiled up at him, her purple eyes glistened with amusement. "Damian I didn't care for this poor creature,I care for the people he hurt." She said dryly running her fingers though her hair in boredom. She radiated danger and Damian loved it.

Her mouth twitched into a smirk as she stepped into the torture chamber its walls shined with fresh blood. She walked up to the torturer's equipment table her eyes lit up in happiness and she found a wooden axe.

Walking over to the prisoner who let out a groan as he came to. She swung the axe down hard on to his abdomen, it broke the skin of the vampire, his wails echoed within the walls, they were so loud that they could be heard on the other side of hell.

Blood sprayed Raven's face as she kept putting all of her strength into attacking the vampire, her fury knowing no bounds. Damian heard Raven's shriek in delight as an arm rolled across the stone floor of room, bits of bone still visible as it landed at Damian's feet.

"Have you had enough yet?" Raven asked her voice sweet like sugar. But Damian could see the look in her amethyst eyes, they were cold and emotionless as she glared down at the vampire, who tried to take her life with such hated. He could hear her heart beat which pattered like a machine gun, her knuckles were a sickening white colour as she grasped the axe tight unwilling it to fall from her hands.

Without warning, Raven's eyes turned black and thick black veins covered her body as she began to chant. The nearby fireplace which had been lit, roared as its flames licked the stone. It looked as if it was alive the stone began to crack and break causing little bits of stone to fall to the floor.

Damian's eyes widened as hell itself began to shake. Raven's chants got louder until she finally let out a banshee like screams which pierced his ears, she was lifted a few feet in the air and remained as the Vampire's body convulsed, blood spilled from his mouth as flames began to burn his wounds before going out.

Damian looked at her in awe, he had never been so intrigued by someone before. Her dark hair flowed behind her as the wind had blown it. When she finally quietened down the vampire was chocking on his own blood, he was drowning.

She lowered herself towards the floor as the vampire looked on with terror as he chocked out as blood ran down his chin "what are you?" He asked his skin pale and his voice dry and raspy.

Damian knew then that Raven had managed to almost bring him to the point of desiccation. Raven hissed at the vampire before answering in a cold demonic tone "You have slaughtered thousands of innocents in your lifetime Vladamir, now you must pay for trying to end the lives of the royal family, for your own selfish gain!" She screamed ferociously as the black veins retreated turning her skin back to normal.

The vampire just stared at her as Raven motioned for the torturer to remove the stake. "Return him to the holding cell!" She ordered before turning her attention to Damian who looked at her, his jaw almost hitting the floor as he kicked at the limb which she had cut off Vladamir. Before looking at his shoe which had a rather large spot of blood on it, he huffed before crossing his arms and raising his eyebrow.

Raven chuckled in response "what can't handle a little torture?" She teased walking towards him swaying her hips a little. He smirked at her, she was beautiful words died on his tongue as he just looked at her, she was covered in blood but he was sure that she could pull off anything as she walked towards him.

He outstretched his arms into to hold her no caring about the blood that covered her body. She welcomed the embrace before looking up into his green eyes

"I heard we got a new bed after the wedding and I for one would love to spend more time in it, join me?" She said sending a wink in Damian's direction as a mischievous grin crossed her features as she took off down the halls of the palace of pandemonium, laughing freely. With Damian following close behind her.
