Your POV
You woke up one morning in June. You shook Michael. He looked at you. "Goodmorning." "Good morning." "Can you help me up?" "Of course." Michael helped you sit up. You took a shower. You went to the dining room. The cook that Michael hired had breakfast on the table already. You sat down. Michael came to the table a little later. You both had breakfast. You brushed your teeth. "Are you sure that you still want to go to work?" "For the last time Michael, yes." "Okay. I'll see you later." Michael kissed you. "See you later." You went to work. You started posing. Soon work was over. You went home. Time passed. Soon, the phone rang. You answered it. "Hello?" "It's me Michael. I'm calling from the studio." "Hi. Are you coming home soon?" "Listen, I'm going to be a little late tonight. I'm still working on this song." "Okay." "Go ahead and eat. Don't wait up for me. I love you." "I love you too." "Bye." "Bye." You hung up the phone. Three more hours passed. You sat on the couch waiting for Michael. At last he came home. He looked at you. "You scared me. I told you that you didn't have to wait up for me." "Where are you coming from?" "I already told you that I was at the studio." "You only said that you would be a little late. It's been three hours now. Where are you coming from?" "Like I said I was at the studio." "Who is she?" "Who?" "The one that you're cheating on me with." "I'm not cheating on you. I promise. I would never do anything to hurt you." You broke down in tears. "I'm sorry. It's just that you could've married anyone, but you chose me. Everyday, I fear that you are going to realize that I'm not good enough for you and this pregnancy has my emotions through the roof. I'm sorry." Michael sat down on the couch next to you. He wiped your tears. "You are the most beautiful, smartest, kindest person I've ever met. There is no one better than you. I'm not leaving you." He kissed your forehead. "Are you hungry?" "Yeah." "Come on." You and Michael went to the kitchen and had something to eat. A month passed. You went to work like usual. "Hi Becky." "Hey." Becky hugged you. "Tobey and I are having a barbecue for July 4th. Are you coming?" "Of course." Your mom came over to you two. "Hi you two." "Hi mom." You both said. Work came to an end. You went home. Soon, Michael came home. "Hey Michael. Do you want to go to a barbecue?" "For you, I'll do it." "Thanks. I love you." "I love you too." A few days later you and Michael were in his limo on the way to the forth of July barbecue. The driver got off of the expressway. As the driver was getting ready to turn, the Limo suddenly stopped. "I'm sorry Mr. Jackson. I forgot to fill the tank." "That's okay. We keep a gas canister in the back for this reason." The driver turned on the hazard lights and got out the car. A few minutes later the driver came up to the window. Michael rolled down the window. "The canister is empty, but don't worry. I'm pretty sure that there is a gas station just down the road." "Okay." You and Michael stayed in the car with security. That's when you felt a liquid pool underneath you. "Did you have an accident?" Michael asked. You screamed as you felt a sharp pain. "Are you okay?" You shook your head. "The baby is coming!" "Right now?" You nodded your head. "Tell the driver to go inside the gas station and call an ambulance!" Michael shouted. "Yes sir." Security got on the walkie talkie. "Did you get to the gas station?" "No. I'm kind of lost." "Okay. Forget the gas for now and find a way to contact the ambulance." "Okay." You sat there patiently. That's when you noticed that a crowd began to form around the limo. Security got out of the car. "Everyone back up!" You waited for what seem like forever. Another pain went through your body. You screamed. Michael grabbed your hand. "Everything is going to be okay. Ask him where he is again." Michael said. "Are you at the gas station yet?" Security said on the walkie talkie. "No. I feel like I'm even more lost." "Do you see any stores or restaurants, or anything?" "Yeah." "Go in there and ask for them to call an ambulance." "Got it." You waited some more. You felt another contraction. You screamed again "They're getting closer!" "Don't worry. We'll get you to hospital soon. I promise." Michael reassured you. Even more time passed. You had another contraction. You waited some more. You had another contraction. You screamed loudly. "I might have the baby right here." "Hang tight. You just have to wait a little bit longer." "I'll try." Just then you heard sirens. The ambulance pulled up right behind the limo. The paramedics came up to the car. You opened the door. They got you in the ambulance. Michael got in right beside you. "I told you that everything was going to be okay." You got to the hospital. They checked to see if you had dilated enough. Just then you had another contraction. They pushed you into a delivery room. "Push!" A doctor said. You screamed and pushed. You held Michael's hand. "Push!" You pushed some more. You stopped to catch your breath. "You're doing great." Michael said. "That's easy for you to say!" "Push!" You pushed some more. After 10 hours you heard a baby cry. "It's a girl." They cut the umbilical cord and let you hold the baby briefly. "Okay. We have to clean her." They took your baby girl. They pushed you into another room. A few minutes later a nurse came in with your little girl. "Congratulations. You have a very healthy 7 pound baby girl." "Thank you." The nurse gave you the baby. "Isn't she beautiful?" You asked. Michael smiled. "Yes she is. What should we name her?" "I was thinking that we could name her Melody." "I love it." "Do you want to hold her?" "Yes." You gave Michael the baby. Michael smiled. "I can't believe that you're finally here." You used the phone in the hospital room to call Becky. "Hello." "Hey Becky. It's me." "What happened. I thought that you were coming to the barbecue?" "The limo ran out of gas and then I went in to labor. I'm at the hospital. I just had the baby." "Omg. Tell me which hospital you're at." You told her which hospital you were at. "I'll see you later." "Bye." You told your mother about the baby. Michael gave you the baby so that he could call his people. Within minutes everyone was there to see the baby. "What are you naming her?" Your mom asked. "We are naming her Melody." You answered. "That's beautiful." A nurse came in. "Alright. The new mommy needs her rest." A nurse said. Everyone cleared the room. The nurse took the baby. The nurse got your information and filled out the birth certificate. You and Michael signed the birth certificate. Two days later you and Michael went home with your brand new baby. "Hey. Did you get the limo up and running?" Michael asked security. "Yes sir." Michael spotted the limo driver. "What took you so long to get an ambulance." "First, I was walking around for an hour trying to find the gas station. Then when I went into that store it took me like thirty minutes to get them to believe that I actually needed an ambulance. Lastly, it took fifteen minutes to try to explain your location to the 911 operator. I am really sorry sir." "Don't worry. Everyone is okay." Michael smiled at the baby he was holding in his arms.
