Lagoona paced back and forth infront of your locker. She made sure to get to school super early so she wouldn't have the chance of missing you. She had a few things she wanted to say, the first being an apology, and somewhere along the line she planned to tell you that you should drop Jackson.

The last thing she had expected was for you to date him, but she soon realized she was dealing with more than she thought when you and Jackson walked in the school building holding hands.

She seethed at the image and backed away from your locker, scurrying off to her own to sit and scheme in silence. It felt like raw betrayal. How could you have chosen him over her? How could you have fallen into his tricks??

And how could she eliminate this problem?

Lagoona felt vomit rise to her throat at the sight of you and Jackson sharing a sweet, chaste kiss before going your separate ways. She had zero clues on when your relationship happened, but she guessed it was after the diner. Somehow, he had wormed her away and himself in her place.

Surely there was something she could do? Surely there was something that could help, some type of advantage over Jackson. But there wasn't. You valued Jackson way more than her, and if she was going to pursue you, then she needed to be in his spot. But what could give her that advantage?

Trust? Friendship? Protection?

Lagoona sulked as she walked to her class. There was something she could do, she was sure of it. The only issue was that she didn't know you like Jackson did. But that could be easily changed, right?

Lagoona nodded to herself. Even if you didn't want her around, she would still investigate. Your hesitance to be her friend only slowed her down. It didn't stop anything. Not her feelings, not her goals, and not her plans.

She rounded a corner. Maybe she should start with learning your schedule? Something simple and a great conversation starter. She clicked her tongue in approval.

Lagoona made a U-turn in the hall and walked back towards the lockers. She peeked her head out from behind one and watched as you and Jackson walked down the hall opposite of her. After a few seconds of contemplation, she hurriedly followed behind the crowd. Your hair was barely in her line of vision from the other students blocking it.

She followed your every turn and walked directly past the room you entered. She made a mental note of the teacher and continued walking to not catch attention.

After a few more turns, she had completed a full lap around the school and found her class.

You sat beside Jackson in your class, oblivious to the fact that you had been followed again. Jackson pulled his books onto his desk and glanced over at you. He smiled shyly and looked back to the ground, causing you to shake your head and grin.

The normally long, drawn out class passed for what seemed like a few minutes. Jackson's new, romantic attention was a good distraction from the lesson.

It was such a good distraction that, by the end of school, you still hadn't noticed the blonde following you around. Lagoona didn't like your closeness with Jackson, but she did appreciate your short attention span.

The amount of times she was almost caught were still fresh on her mind, but it wasn't any reason to stop. So what if people noticed? Their judgement was nothing compared to Lagoona's secret adoration for you.

Her thoughts were interrupted by your sudden change in direction. She looked around her, noticing that she had walked quite a distance from the school since she had started following you. Her observations didn't last long, as after you had turned so did she.

After walking a little more, Lagoona allowed her thoughts to pour in again. She reminisced about the times she had hated you and had followed you from her aggression. It was ironic, how before she was constantly watching to judge, and now she was constantly watching to win you over.

She knew that her efforts wouldn't be wasted, though. She knew she'd get you eventually, even if it took years, though she hoped it wouldn't.

Lagoona perked up at the stares she was beginning to receive. Anyone with at least half a braincell knew what she was doing. Lagoona sighed and pulled her coat closer to her from the pockets. Their stares didn't matter. She was sure that if they knew you, then they'd be doing the exact same thing.

A light buzz from her phone caught her attention, and she pulled out her iCoffin. Frankie had sent a text.

Frankie:
Where are you? Aren't you walking home with us?

Lagoona:
Sorry, got stuff to do. Had to leave earlier than normal. Maybe tomorrow xx

She put her phone on 'do not disturb' for the rest of the walk. Your life away from school was more interesting than whatever anyone else could offer. Besides, she would hate to be like Jackson.

Her eyes squinted at him. Lagoona watched him play on his phone, completely dismissing you. He turned the screen to you occasionally, but otherwise didn't pay much attention to you. You were on your phone, too, but Lagoona was sure it was because of Jackson.

Lagoona mentally promised to never be like that. She furrowed her brows at the thought of him neglecting you.

In reality, it was the complete opposite. There was no neglect from either you or Jackson. Instead, you two took turns showing eachother videos, games, and pictures. It was a blissful type of comfort that only he had given you.

You pushed your head against his shoulder and allowed him to wrap an arm around your shoulders. You breathed in a sigh at the security you felt, something you hadn't felt since you met Lagoona.

Lagoona was way out of your mind. She was the last thing you could think of, and for once you felt confident. Lagoona didn't matter. The only thing that mattered in that moment was Jackson, and you buried yourself in thoughts of him as you continued your walk.
