You walked into the school building with a confident stride. You didn't know why, but having Lagoona bow to your feet seemed to make you feel on top of the world. Who else has someone so desperate for them? You considered yourself lucky.
"Hey, (Y/N)!" Lagoona called. She rushed after you, nearly tripping as she jogged.
"Hey." You gave her a small smirk.
If you were honest, you didn't mind being stalked. You didn't care if she tiptoed through your house. As long as she was obsessed with you and only you.
Not that you'd sneak around and follow her. It was just that you enjoyed being the center of someone's attention.
You allowed her to follow you as you walked to class. She gave you a quick hug before you entered the classroom.
Jackson sat at your shared table. You slid into your seat beside him and sat your bag on the ground. He greeted you with a smile.
"Hey, how are you?" He asked.
"I've been good."
"What about Lagoona? Is she still.."
"Yeah, she is." You shrugged. "But I've learned not to care. It doesn't matter. If I don't let her do it then she'll do it behind my back. Better that I know about it than to constantly be on edge."
"I guess that's true." He sighed. "I just wish there was a way we could get rid of her for good."
"Why? She seems cool. She just needs a friend, that's all."
"She has lots of friends." He deadpanned.
"You say so, but if she did then she wouldn't have to cling to me so much. Maybe I'm helping her."
"Or maybe you're feeding into her obsession. Maybe she's waiting to trap you."
"Maybe. But even then I'm sure i could worm my way out. That stuff happens to other girls. Not girls like me."
Lagoona waited patiently for you outside of the school building. She had planned on walking you home from school. She looked around the multiple students. Before she could peek over someone's head, your loud laughter came our from the doors.
She sat a happy grin on her face as she waited for you to walk out.
"Hey!" She rushed to keep up with you. "I was wondering if you'd like to go to the Diner with me?"
"Sure." You shrugged.
She beamed, and she linked her arm with yours.
Together, you walked to the Diner. Lagoona had a big plan for you, and she couldn't wait to see your response.
Once you approached the Diner, she led you in and sat you at a booth. You ordered, and then you turned to Lagoona. You hoped she'd start a conversation.
It didn't take long before she cleared her throat, preparing her speech in her mind as quickly as she could. She didn't want to keep you waiting.
"So, you know I've had feelings for you for a long time." She began. "And I guess things just got out of hand."
"They did." You interrupted. "Stalking isn't normal."
She giggled girlishly. "So they say. Anyways, I brought you here to say how much I love you."
"Okay." You shrugged. "I can't tell you the same thing."
"You don't have to." She smiled. "I just wanted this to be about us."
"You're desperate, aren't you?" You chuckled.
"Very desperate. Only for you."
You scoffed. "How many girls have you told that to?"
She gave a slight smirk and looked down at the table.
"You're so doubtful. You don't trust me, that's the only reason you won't get with me." He said it more to herself than anyone. She lifted her gaze and smiled widely.
"I'll gain your trust. I promise."
"Sure you will." You rolled your eyes. "Now can we leave? I've got homework to do and-"
"Yeah! I'll help, come on."
She led you out of the Diner and down the road. It was dark, and you clutched her hand to keep a sense of confidence.
"You're something special, (Y/N)." Lagoona smiled at you warmly. "And that's why I have to do this."
"Do what?"
In an instant, she had you against an alley wall and held a cloth against your mouth and nose. You inhaled sharply before realizing your mistake. You struggled against her, but she used a strength you had never seen in her.
Eventually you fell unconscious, the 10 minute struggle finally making you exhausted enough to allow the drug to take over.
