One week. One week of Lagoona following you around. One week of constant ups and downs. One week of constant fits and acts of jealousy. One week of stalking and clinginess. One long week.

You huffed as you walked into the school, Lagoona on your arm and Jackson beside you. Multiple students stepped out of your way, eyeing the girl that clung to your arm. She laid her head on your shoulder and stared at you dreamily. You tried not to cringe from her attachment, finding it disgusting how easy she could be swept off her feet.

In her defense, she had never felt this way about anyone else, and you knew that. You knew she had never experienced such strong emotions towards anybody, so the feelings were new and she didn't know how to go about them.

It still bothered you, but reminding yourself of that helped a little.

She sighed and drew a line down your arm with her finger. You gave her a glance before returning your gaze to the hallway ahead.

"What?" You asked.

She shook her head and gave you a smile. "I'm just so happy to be beside you."

"Oh." You answered shortly.

Jackson gave out a shakey breath. "I-I gotta go to my locker."

You nodded. "Ight." You hummed. "I'll see you later."

He walked away, leaving you and Lagoona on your own. She seemed elevated by that, as her steps turned into skips.

"So what are our plans for the day?" She asked.

"Um, go to class, go home, do homework-"

"Do you need help with your homework? I can definitely help you!" She offered with a blush and a smile.

"Uh, sure." You stopped at your locker and undid the lock. Then, you swung it open.

To your surprise, your locker had been organized and cleaned. Any loose papers or pens had been sat in their rightful places, and your books had been organized by your classes in order. You stood dumbfounded before looking over to Lagoona.

"Did you..?"

"Mhm!" She grinned proudly. "I figured you'd like a clean space!"

"Yeah, thanks. How did you know the code to my lock?"

"I watched you put in the code for days!" She giggled and waved her hand to dismiss your words.

You nodded. "Oh, okay."

You thought for a second. "Can you clean my room?"

"Absolutely!"

She turned on her heel and dashed out of the school. You stuttered in shock. You didn't mean right then!

You tried to chase her down, but you had lost her through the crowd. You sighed and slowed your steps. It was pointless!

You began your walk home alone, ignoring the students that reminded you of class. You skipped a rock with your foot as you walked.

By the time you had gotten to your house, Lagoona had been there. You sighed as you opened the door. Her bookbag sat against your shoe rack, and you stripped yourself of your shoes and bag before making your way  to your bedroom.

You opened the door to your room and gasped.

Everything had been cleaned from your bed, to your dresser, to your closet, to even your walls. You glanced around before looking dead at Lagoona, who sat on your bed. She kicked her legs childishly and held a pleased smile on her face.

"Do you like it?"

"How did you do it so fast?" You ran a finger across your dresser. To your surprise, no dust had collected on it. You smiled at her.

"I just did. Do you like it?" She repeated.

You giggled and squealed. "Yes!! Yes I love it!"

She clapped and squealed along with you. She felt successful. She felt favored. She felt euphoric.

She reached out for a hug, which you accepted. She squeezed you tightly, thankful for her chance to cling to you once more.

You patted her back before setting her down on the bed. She giggled loudly.

"I'm so glad you're happy!" She cheered.

Based on her excitement, you could tell she genuinely wanted you happy. Jackson had to have been wrong about her. Sure, it was a little creepy, but who were you to judge? Maybe Lagoona was just lonely and wanted some friends? Maybe she just didn't fit in like you had originally thought?

The point was that she loved being by your side, and you didn't entirely hate it. You had something to gain, and so did she.

You came to the conclusion that Jackson must have been jealous, because you couldn't think of a single reason for him to act the way he had been.

"How about we go make some sandwiches or something." You offered. "I'm starving."

She jumped up excitedly and slid into the hall as you led her through the home. You both arrived at the kitchen quickly.

"Hey." You said. She glanced up at you. "Thanks for all the help."

"I'm just doing my part, you know?"

"Yeah, thanks anyway."

"Oh." Lagoona blushed. "Well, you're welcome."
