Lagoona walked aimlessly around the school halls as she waited for the bell to chime. Every student was long gone, leaving her as the only one left. She had successfully dodged teachers all afternoon, and now only had to dodge headmistress as she left. Lagoona waited patiently, allowing the time to slowly drain.
She only had an hour.
Headmistress walked down the hallway and turned a corner. Lagoona smirked and walked quickly into her office. She grabbed the set of keys lying on the desk and ran, not leaving any evidence behind besides the lack of the keyring that she held tightly in her hands.
She walked down the catacombs and into a smaller hallway. Then, she unlocked a door and walked in.
Stacks upon stacks of papers were everywhere. She remembered your last initial and searched the shelves and drawers for that letter. After finding it, she pulled everything under the letter and searched for your name.
She found it after a bit of searching. Your school file was now in her hands, completely vulnerable to her eyes. She opened it slowly as if it were some book on magic spells. The mystery filled her with anticipation, and she nervously flipped through every page.
Pictures of you since you were in kindergarten were scattered all in the file, and she felt her heart swell in delight at the sight of such a little you.
Lagoona quickly put the papers away at the sound of footsteps and scurried into the dark. Headmistress stepped into the room with her eyebrow raised. She wasn't expecting an empty room.
She grabbed her keys and turned on her heel before strutting out of the catacombs. Lagoona breathed out a sigh of relief and made her way out of the catacombs herself.
She had to see you. She had to tell you how cute you were as a child!
Lagoona ran to the street. Then, she made her way down to your house. She knocked on the door frantically. It swung open to reveal Jackson. He stared at her in wonder as she bounced on her heels energetically.
"I-I have to tell (Y/N) something." She tried to look around him, but he stayed out to block her view. "Is she here?"
"She isn't interested in talking, Lagoona." He answered.
She sulked, but brightened up at the sound of footsteps getting closer.
"Is that her?" She asked.
You peeked your head around Jackson to see who was at the door. Lagoona smiled brightly at you, and you cleared your throat and crossed your arms before standing upright infront of Jackson.
"Can I help you?" You asked plainly.
"I was j-just going to say....you were really cute as a kid!" She grinned.
You squinted. "How do you know what I looked like as a kid?"
"I took your file from school!" She hummed, and she clasped her hands behind her back. "Your old school pictures were in there. You were really sweet!"
"Uhm..." You turned to look at Jackson, who stood mortified by what Lagoona had said. "Thanks, I guess?"
"You're welcome!" She grinned. "May I come in?"
"I-"
"No." Jackson interrupted you. "Go on somewhere. I don't want you coming in."
"This isn't your house." She fired.
"You're creepy." He fired back.
"You're weird!"
"You're annoying."
"You're-"
"Stop." You frowned. "I'm not doing this. Yes, Lagoona, you can come in."
She squealed loudly before shooting past you and Jackson. He gave you a look and you shrugged in reply before walking to where Lagoona laid. She was sprawled out over your bed with a large grin on her face.
"So fucking weird." Jackson scoffed.
"I don't know, I think it's kinda funny." You replied. "She's trying too hard."
"Definitely." He agreed.
You pulled Lagoona off your bed before taking her place. She sat beside you like a puppy. If she had a tail, it would definitely have been wagging. You thought it was cute. Annoying and scary, but cute. You'd have your own pet!
"Lagoona, why don't you start hanging out with us?" You asked.
She beamed. "Really?! You want me to hang out with you?!"
"Sure." You chuckled. "It would be fun!"
Jackson paled, and he grabbed your wrist. "Lagoona, go get us a drink."
Lagoona jumped up and scurried off, leaving you and Jackson alone.
"What are you doing?!" He whisper-yelled.
"Come on, what damage has she done besides following me?" You smiled. "It's pointless to ward her off, she obviously is gonna keep coming back. Let's just accept her."
He sighed. "I don't like this."
"Look, I'm sure she'll get over it eventually. All we have to do is keep her involved until she doesn't want it anymore."
He shrugged. "Okay, yeah, I guess so."
Lagoona returned shortly after and handed a soda to you and Jackson. You thanked her warmly and patted a spot beside you. She crawled to it and smiled.
"So! What kind of homework do you have?" She asked. "Do you want help? I can help!"
"No, I'm alright." You laughed. "I didn't let you in so you can do my work. We're gonna hang out!"
"Like beasties?"
"Yep! Just like beasties."
