You and Jackson sat at your usual cafeteria table the next day. Jackson covered his head with his arms and laid down for a moment before sitting upright with a sigh.

"So...she was outside your window?" He asked.

You nodded. "I was thinking of going to the cops but....but I feel bad for her."

"What?" He scoffed. "You can't be serious. She was outside your window!"

"I-I know, but maybe there's a better explanation. There's got to be more to it that we just don't know about."

"And what do you think we should do? Have a nice, friendly chat with the girl that likes to camp outside your window for fun?"

You lowered your head. Whether you liked it or not, he was right. You were running out of options, and unfortunately being nice wasn't a part of the plan. If you were being honest, you didn't even have a plan. All of it had turned for the worst. You went from not knowing who Lagoona was to fearing her.

"Maybe I should just ask her what she wants?" You offered.

Jackson rolled his eyes and ran his hands down his face. "Oh my God...you're useless."

"I'm trying, okay?!" You huffed.

"You know what?" He dropped his shoulders. "Fine. Go ask her what she wants."

You nodded. "Okay, and then what?"

"And then we make up and become best friends! I don't know!"

Jackson looked around the room, trying to make out Lagoona's figure amongst the hundreds of other figures. He spotted Manny, and scrambled to grab his things.

"I-I don't know, but I should probably get going ....see ya!"

He jumped up and ran off, leaving you all alone at your table. You sighed. Where should you even start looking? Maybe...the swim team?

You lifted yourself from the seat and grabbed your bag. Then, after throwing the bag over your shoulders, you made your way to the swim teams locker rooms.

It was a bit of a walk, and you reached the locker room with sore legs and lungs. You entered the shed-like building and stared at the indoor pool. Your fear of water was beyond your own comprehension, and you walked cautiously around the pool.

A small blob at the bottom slowly floated to the top, and before you knew it you were staring at Lagoona with wide eyes. She stared back with equal surprise.

"O-Oh." You nodded at her. Though your intention was to find her, a small part of you hoped you wouldn't be able to. Now that you were face to face with her, there was no backing out of it. "Hey...I needed to talk to you."

Lagoona felt her face heat up. You had to talk to her?! On your own free will?!

She leapt from the pool and stood face to face with you, her heart pounding and a blush on her face.

"Okay!" She bounced on her heels. "About what?"

"I just, um..." Your mind went blank. "I don't know why you're being weird around...me....and sitting outside my window....."

Lagoona froze. She knew she'd have to tell you about her feelings eventually, she just didn't want it to be so soon.

"I didn't, um...I didn't mean to scare you." She began.

You eyed her suspiciously. "Then what was your goal?"

"I....I like you!" She blurted.

"Huh?" You squinted at her.

She looked away from you, only confirming what you heard. You sighed. She was only making the situation more difficult for you, and you wanted to be rid of her and everything that she had done. You bit down on your tongue and turned from her.

"Wait! Please, don't just leave!" She begged. Lagoona reached out and grasped your hand. "Can't you talk to me about this?"

"You like me so you sit outside my window?!" You snapped. "I feel like that isn't a very healthy way to go about your feelings!"

"Please, just think about them!"

"I am! And I say to fuck off!"

You stormed from the building, stomping your way back to the school and straight to Jackson. You walked to his locker and knocked on it furiously.

"Y-Yeah?" His weak voice came from inside.

"They're gone, shit head."

He slowly clambered out with a deep sigh. "So, did you talk to Lagoona?"

"Yep. She has feelings for me and thought sitting outside my window was a great decision."

"Ew, creepy." He answered shortly. You nodded.

"Yeah, I know."

Jackson tapped at his watch on his wrist, hoping that it would turn on and wasn't dead from his lack of care for it. You sighed and lifted his charger from his locker before handing it to him.

"Smart watch is so smart, but can't even charge itself?" He grumbled.

"Jackson!" You yelped. "Pay attention, please!"

"Sorry, sorry. It's just, there isn't much we can do."

"So you suggest I just deal with it?"

"I mean, yeah, basically."

"Wow, thanks so much for the help buddy."

You rolled your eyes and crossed your arms before slamming your back against the lockers.

"This is so messed up." You grumbled. "I don't want her to have feelings for me."

"Stop whining." Jackson rolled his eyes. "Trust me, I don't want this any more than you do."

"This is unfair!"

"Well, what are we gonna do about it?"

"Nothing, I guess." You pouted.

Jackson chuckled. "Come on, let's go get something to eat without being disrupted, this time."

You nodded and followed after him. "Fine."
