Bellamy's P.O.V.

In the morning I hear commotion outside between Atom and Wells. Apparently Wells buried the kids who died in landing and was trying to be the Chancellor of Earth. They argue and I walk out of the tent without a shirt because who cares.

"You still don't get it do you, Chancellor?" I say before kissing the girl who I hooked up with last night. She walks off and I continue to look at Wells.

"This is home now. Your father's rules no longer apply." I take a shirt from the clothes that Wells is holding. He tries to fight back but Atom holds him back.

"Oh, no, no, Atom. Atom, hold up. You want it back? Take it." We stare each other down until he throws the rest onto the ground. Other kids swarm the pile, wanting them.

"Is this what you want? Chaos?" Wells asks in disbelief.

"What's wrong with a little chaos?" I ask until I hear a scream. I quickly put on a shirt and follow everyone else to the source of the sound. I push my way through the group to see Murphy holding one of the girls over a fire.

"Bellamy. Check it out. We want the Ark to think the ground is killing us, right? Figure it'll look better if we suffer a little bit first." He barely finishes speaking before Wells pushes him back, getting the girl away from the fire.

"You can stop this," Wells says, directed toward me.

"Stop this? I'm just getting started." Murphy lands a punch on Wells' face. They begin fighting and Wells manages to get on top of Murphy. He stops after a couple of punches.

"Don't you see you can't control this?" Murphy pulls a knife but I stop him before he has a chance to use it.

"Wait." I look between the two of them.

"Fair fight," I say as I offer a knife to Wells. I drop it on the ground and he quickly picks it up. Murphy jabs twice and on the third swing manages to catch Wells' sleeve. He yells something about his father and loses control. Wells manages to swing him around and puts his knife to Murphy's throat. Then out of nowhere, Clarke Griffin appears and yells at Wells to stop.

"Let him go," she says sternly. Wells pushes Murphy away and I stop him from attacking Wells again. I notice that Octavia is having trouble walking.

"Octavia, are you all right?" She says she is fine. I look around the group and see no food with them.

"Where's the food?"

"We didn't make it to Mount Weather," Finn says as he sits down.

"What the hell happened out there?" I ask.

"We were attacked."

"Attacked? By what?" Wells asks.

"Not what. Who." Finn states.

"It turns out, when the last man from the ground died on the ark, he wasn't the last grounder."

"It's true. Everything we thought we knew about the ground is wrong. There are people here. Survivors. The good news is, that means we can survive. Radiation won't kill us," Clarke says to the whole group.

"Yeah, the bad news is the grounders will," Finn finishes off. Wells looks around the group.

"Where's the kid with the goggles?" I realize that he is missing.

"Jasper was hit. They took him," Clarke says. She looks down to Wells' wrist to notice that the wristband is gone.

"Where is your wristband?" Wells looks at me with disgust.

"Ask him," he snarls.

"How many?" Clarke asks.

"24 and counting," Murphy replies.

"You idiots," Clarke whispers.

"Life support on the Ark is failing. That's why they brought us down here. They need to know the ground is survivable again, and we need their help against whoever is out there. If you take off your wristbands, you're not just killing them. You're killing us!" Clarke finishes her little speech and I decide to speak up.

"We're stronger than you think. Don't listen to her. She's one of the privileged. If they come down, she'll have it good. How many of you can say the same? We can take care of ourselves. That wristband on your arm? It makes you a prisoner. We are NOT prisoners anymore! They say they'll forgive your crimes. I say you are not criminals! You're fighters, survivors! The grounders should worry about us!" Everyone begins agreeing and cheering. Clarke walks off and my eyes land on the girl. She is standing a bit back from the group, leaning against a tree. She looks weaker than before she went to bed. Before I could get over to her, Clarke approaches her, so I stay back and eavesdrop.

"Ash? Do you remember me?" Clarke asks. Ash nods.

"This is Finn, he's gonna help get you back to the dropship. We will explain everything later," Clarke says. Ash never says anything but she does glance up and make eye contact with me. She quickly looks away and Finn goes over and even though Phoenix looks uncomfortable, she accepts the help back to camp. I make my way back to camp as well and see that people are panicking. People are walking in and out of the dropship, gathering supplies and storing others. I watch Wells walk in there so I know that Clarke is also in there. Octavia is sitting on a log a short distance away. I reach into the tent and grab a cloth. I make my way over to her to help her clean up the wound on her leg.

"What the hell was it?" I ask.

"The others said it looked like a giant snake."

"You could have been killed."

"She would have been if Jasper didn't jump in and pull her out," Clarke says as she walks over.

"You guys leaving? I'm coming too," Octavia tries to say.

"No, no. No way. Not again," I quickly interject.

"He's right. Your leg's just gonna slow us down. I am actually here for you," Clarke says pulling the focus to me.

"Clarke, what are you doing?" Wells asks.

"I hear you have a gun." I lift up my shirt to show it to her.

"Good, follow me."

"And why would I do that?"

"Because you want them to follow you, and right now, they're thinking only one of us is scared." She stares me down and I grab my jacket.

"Murphy, you're coming with me. And Atom, my sister doesn't leave this camp. Is that clear?"

"I don't need a babysitter," Octavia interjects.

"Anybody touches her, they answer to me. Let's go." I walk off after Clarke with Murphy following, on a trip to save Jasper.
