Raven screams from inside the dropship. I cringe at the sound as I grab things out of Bellamy's tent to take with us. He is inside the dropship, talking with Finn and Clarke. Soon, he comes to the tent.

"Are you ready?"

"Are we really leaving?"

"It's what the group wants. I want to stay, you know that." He approaches me and helps me stand from where I was sitting. I try to fight the tears that I have been suppressing. He laces his fingers with mine but I stop him at the door to the tent.

"Bellamy, did you mean what you said?"

"About what?"

"About loving me." Instead of saying anything, he pulls me into a kiss.

"Why would I ever lie about that?" he says after he pulls away. I finally meet his eyes.

"Why would you have sex with Raven?" He freezes.

"Can we talk about this later, when we are safe?" he asks. I nod and we both leave the tent. There is now tension between us but it needed to be said. Once outside the wall, I let go of his hand and help Finn carry Raven. After a bit, we both get relieved and walk side by side.

"Are you okay?" he asks.

"Why would I be? We are about to be in a huge battle," I say quietly.

"I'm sorry for ignoring you," he says after a bit. I glance over and he is looking at me. I don't respond but I can tell we are on better terms.

"I hope he is treating you okay." I must have made a face because he grabs my arm and stops me from walking.

"What happened?"

"Same thing that you did. Cheated. With Raven nonetheless." I pull out of his grip and continue walking. After another twenty minutes or so, we all come to a stop.

"Why are we stopping?" Raven asks.

"I don't know," Finn responds.

"I don't see anything," Jasper says. Then, out of nowhere, a blade flies through the air and impales Drew in the face, killing him instantly.

"Grounders!" Jasper yells. Panic ensues as everyone starts running back to camp. I help Finn carry Raven again. Once through the wall, we take Raven back to the dropship and then rejoin everyone else outside.

"They're right behind us! Go, go, go!" Octavia says as she runs through the wall.

"Shut the gate!" Finn yells. Everyone goes quiet, waiting for the grounders to attack.

"Where are they?" Bellamy whispers.

"Why aren't they attacking?"

"Because we're doing exactly what they wanted us to do," Clarke says.

"What are you talking about?"

"Lincoln said the scouts would be the first to arrive."

"If it's just scouts, we can fight our way out. That's what Lincoln would do," Octavia inputs. Screw what Lincoln would do.

"We're done doing what that grounder would do. We tired it and now Drew is dead. You want to be next?" Bellamy says to Octavia.

"That grounder saved our lives. I agree with Octavia. For all we know, there's one scout out there," Finn defends.

"One scout with insanely good aim," Jasper says.

"Clarke, we can still do this," Octavia says, bringing the attention to Clarke.

"Looking to you Princess. What's it gonna be? Run and get picked off out in the open, or stand and fight back?"

"Clarke, if we're still here when Tristan gets here..." Finn tries to input. But Clarke cuts him off.

"Lincoln said 'scouts'. More than one. He said, 'get home before the scouts arrive.' Finn, they're already here." She turns to Bellamy. "Looks like you've got your fight." Everything around us becomes hectic as people start moving around and heading to positions.

"Ok, then. This is what we've been preparing for. Kill them before they kill us. Gunners, to your posts. Use the tunnels to get in and out. From now on, the gate stays closed." Octavia tries to run by him but he grabs her arm and stops her.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa. You're not a gunner."

"No. I'm not. Like you said... I'm a grounder," she says. She unsheaths her blade, given to her by Lincoln.

"Alright, let's ge to those foxholes." A few of us return to the dropship to discuss tactics.

"So, how the hell do we do this?" Clarke asks.

"We've got 25 rifles with 20 round each, give or take. Roughly 500 rounds of ammo. While you guys were gone, we made some improvements. THanks to Raven, the gully is mined," Bellamy explains.

"Partially mined, thanks to Murphy."

"Still, it's the main route in. If the grounders use it, we'll know. She also built grenades."

"It's not many," Clarke inputs.

"Again, thank you Murphy," Raven says. I can tell she is in a lot of pain but there isn't anything we can do about it right now.

"We'll make them count. If the grounders make it through the front gate, guns and grenades should force them back."

"And then?" I ask. He looks over at me.

"Then we close the door and pray," Raven says.

"And pray what? THat the ship keeps them out? Because it won't."
"THen let's not let them get through the gate. All foxholes, listen up." He hops on the radio. "Keep your eyes and ears open. Inflict casualties, as many as possible. You can hold them off long enough to make them turn back. That's the plan."

"That's always your plan, just like the bomb at the bridge," Finn says. He isn't too happy about this but we have no other choice.

"Damn right. You got a better idea?" Clarke looks at the map and realizes something.

"It can't be that simple," she mutters to herself. "You said there's fuel in those rockets right? Enough to build 100 bombs?" she asks Raven.

"I also said we've got no gunpowder left."

"I don't wan to build a bomb. I want to blast off."

"Draw them in close. Fire the rockets. A ring of fire," Raven says. She seems to be on board with the idea.

"Barbecued grounders. I like it," Bellamy says.

"Will it work?" Finn asks.

"You give me enough time, I'll cook them real good," Raven says. It is determined that Clarke, Finn and I would stay in the dropship and help Raven get it ready while Bellamy leads the group. Before Bellamy leaves the dropship, I stop him.

"Be careful," I say softly. He pulls me into a hug. Little did I know that this was going to be goodbye.
