Ash's P.O.V.

It had been two days since they blew the bridge. I have been very weak and have not really left the dropship. Bellamy was making rounds, making sure that everyone on watch was still there and hadn't seen anything. Murphy helps me walk outside.

"Are you really not feeling that much better?" he questions. He helps me sit right outside the dropship. The sun feels amazing on my skin.

"I've always had health issues. My parents ignored them so I ignored them. I don't actually know how I survived this long," I say quietly. I glance at him and notice kindness in his gaze.

"Please don't pity me."

"I'm not. I just want to say that I'm glad you are alive." I don't respond. Murphy gets up and leaves. I just sit there. Everyone is on edge and running around. I watch Octavia go into the smokehouse. I try to stand up, wanting to help but fall back down. Bellamy walks up to the dropship right as I fall back down.

"Woah. Hey, be careful," he says. He helps me stand.

"I'm fine. I just needed to stand up," I say.

"You are not okay. You need to lay back down and rest," he says as he helps me back into the dropship.

"I'll be fine Bellamy. I need to help prepare for the grounder retaliation."

"Ash, we can prepare without you. Just stay in the dropship so when the time comes, you will already be inside," he says. I can sense a little anger in his voice.

"Fine," I say as I sit down. He sighs.

"I don't mean to sound mad. It's just a lot of preparing in a short amount of time," he says.

"I know. Go. Get ready. I'll be here."

Bellamy's P.O.V.

When I get back outside, there is a fight between Murphy and Del. The smokehouse has gone up in flames. I break up the fight.

"Hey! Hey! Hey, stop! Save it for the Grounders," I yell as I pull Murphy off of Del.

"Well, now what the hell are we gonna do? That was all the food," Octavia complains. I take Murphy off to the side to get his story. Later, I find Clarke.

"Any idea what happened?" she asks.

"Murphy says that Del kept feeding the fire, mostly because Octavia told him it was a bad idea," I tell Clarke.

"And we believe Murphy?"

"I do."

"Yeah. We have some wild onions and nuts in the dropship. It's only enough to last us maybe one or two weeks. What's left here?"

"Nothing, it all burned." The fact that there isn't much food is not going to help morale around camp.

"Then we have to hunt. Anyone we can spare goes out," Clarke states.

"With the whole Grounder army out there?"

"Look, we can't defend ourselves if we're starving." She makes a good point. We decide to gather everyone who can go and I am in charge of briefing them.

"Each group takes someone with a gun, and they're for killing Grounders, not food. We don't have the ammo. Use the spears for hunting. Get what you can. Be back by nightfall. No one stays out after dark," I say. Everyone groups up and starts heading out into the woods. I head to Raven's tent to figure out how much ammo we need to make.

"We need more ammo," I say as I enter her tent. I see she is packing up a bag.

"That's it till Jasper gets back. Now get out of my tent."
