Bellamy enters the tent a couple of hours after I went to sleep. I sit up very groggily, not really wanting to get up.

"Bellamy, what's going on?" I ask. He grabs his gun and then turns to me.

"Finn is being stupid. He set up a meeting with the Grounders and Clarke wants backup. Do you want to come with?" he explains. I nod and gather a couple of my things. Instead of giving me a rifle, he hands me the handgun he brought down with him. We stop by Raven's tent when we hear Jasper inside.

"Jasper, you're coming with me," Bellamy says as he pokes his head in the tent.

"I am?"

"You handled yourself well in the cave with the Grounder."

"I mean, I hit him in the head," Jasper says. He doesn't sound too confident.

"If you're planning on shooting anything, you better think twice. I haven't checked those yet," Raven says. Bellamy must have picked up some bullets.

"Give me some bullets that work," he demands.

"What do you need them for?"

"You're boyfriend's being an idiot."

"I'm coming with you," Raven says. I can hear scrambling as she gathers some of her stuff.

"We should get Clarke," Jasper says. There is a brief silence.

"Clarke's with Finn, isn't she?"

We follow at a distance, trying not to be seen. After Raven said she was going, Bellamy tried to convince me to stay at camp but I wouldn't let him make me. Now, we are taking a dangerous walk through the woods. Once at the bridge, we all hide behind trees.

"Someone's coming," Bellamy whispers. They all have their guns up, checking their surroundings.

"What's Octavia doing here?" Jasper asks. He lowers his gun and then the grounder from before comes into view. Octavia hugs him.

"Oh," I say softly. Bellamy meets my eyes and he is angry.

"I guess we know how he got away," Raven points out. We go silent as we hear a new sound.

"Wait. Look. Oh, my God. Horses!" Clarke exclaims. Bellamy quietly joins me over by my tree. His hand sits on my lower back as we watch the exchange.

After what seems like forever, the Grounder leader begins to look pissed.

"Grounder Princess looks pissed," Raven says. Jasper is looking around and he is getting a panicked look on his face.

"Our princess has that effect," Bellamy says.

"Oh, no. No. This is bad," Jasper starts whispering. I make my way over to Jasper to try to calm him down.

"What the hell are you talking about?" Raven questions.

"There's Grounders in the trees."

"What?" I begin to look around but don't see anyone.

"Where?" I ask quietly.

"Are you sure? I don't see anything."

"They're gonna shoot! Clarke, run! Run!" Jasper yells. Everything gets really hectic really quick. An arrow hits the Grounder while Jasper is shooting wildly. I don't shoot a shot but I try to take in as much of my surroundings as possible. Soon, we are sprinting back to camp. Once back at camp, the accusations start.

"You got anything to say?" Bellamy says to Finn.

"Yeah. I told you no guns!" Finn yells back.

"I told you we couldn't trust the Grounders. I was right," Clarke says.

"Why didn't you tell me what you were up to?" Raven asks Finn. She stands in front of him, trying to get him to focus on her.

"I tried, but you were too busy making bullets for your gun."

"You're lucky she brought thtat! They came there to kill you, Finn," Bellamy inputs. I just want to hide and not be a part of this conversation.

"You don't know that! Jasper fired the first shot!"

"You ruined everything," Octavia says to Jasper. He looks angry.

"I saved you! You're welcome." He storms off and so does Octavia.

"Well, if we weren't at war already, we sure as hell are now. You didn't have to trust the Grounders. You just had to trust me," Finn says. He looks at me and I can see the hurt in his eyes, especially once he sees the gun in my hand.

"Like I said, best Unity Day ever," Bellamy mutters. We all are distracted by an explosion in the distance.

"The Exodus ship?" I say.

"You're mom's early," Bellamy says directing it at Clarke.

"Wait. Too fast. No parachute?" We begin moving in the direction of where the ship is headed.

"Somethings wrong," I say. The ground shakes as the ship makes impact and a mushroom cloud rises in the distance. Clarke sinks to her knees. Her mom was on that ship. And now she is dead.
