Bellamy's P.O.V.

Clarke has institutionalized a quarantine, keeping anyone who is getting sick or may have come in direct contact with Murphy in the dropship. I am trying to make sure everyone is in the camp when I realize who is missing: Ash. Panic starts to set in when I can't find her. I am running around camp, asking everyone if they have seen her recently. Nobody has. Finally, I go to the dropship to ask Clarke.

"Clarke?"

"Is everyone accounted for?" she asks.

"I can't find Ash. I don't know if she had contact or not. Do you know?" Clarke doesn't say anything but she looks a bit panicked.

"Clarke?"

"I had her help clean Murphy up. She had direct contact."

Ash's P.O.V.

I open my eyes to a blood-red sky. No, not red. I am just trying to look through the blood leaking from my face. I sit up slowly and blink many times, trying to get the red out of my vision. Who knows how long I have been out. I scoot back until my back is against a tree. After a couple of minutes, my vision clears and then I hear the yelling.

"Ash! Where are you?" Bellamy.

"Bellamy?" I try to yell back. I go into another coughing fit. Luckily, the coughing fit was loud enough for him to find me.

"Ash," he gets down next to me and touches my back. We don't say anything but he carefully picks me up. After picking me up, I find some words to say.

"Are you just going to keep rescuing me like some damsel in distress?" I say softly. He chuckles.

"I will rescue you as many times as I need to. It will just make it easier if you would stay in camp."

It had maybe been an hour in the dropship when Murphy came over. I has having another coughing fit and a lot more blood was coming up than the last couple of times. He carefully rolls me onto my side and helps make sure that I am still breathing. I am so tired but I don't want to choke in my sleep. About two seconds later, Bellamy enters the dropship, coughing.

"Bell? No. Clear some space. Lay him down," Octavia demands. He gets laid near me.

"Stay on your side," Murphy instructs. He goes to help with Bellamy. Bellamy starts retching.
"Hey, big brother," Octavia says. My eyes begin to close but I force myself to stay awake.

"I'm scared," I hear him say.

"I won't let anything happen to you, I promise."

"That's what I said to you the day you were born."

"I know. You told me that, like, a thousand times."

"I'm glad you're here."

"Just get some rest now, okay?" It goes quiet for a little. I close my eyes but sleep does not come. All of a sudden I feel someone grab my hand. I open my eyes a little to see Bellamy grabbing my hand from above me.

"It's okay. I'm here," he says softly. And with that, we both fall into a restful sleep.

Bellamy's P.O.V.

It had been a few hours. Ash was still asleep and I was watching her peacefully when Murphy approaches me.

"Here," he offers a cup of water.

"Get the hell away from me," I say. I don't want him anywhere near me or Ash.

"Bellamy, you're sick, okay? I'm just here trying to help. Here."

"When I get better, if you're still here–" Clarke interrupts and takes the cup from Murphy.

"Hey, I got this one. Here," she offers. She helps me drink the water from the cup.

"You feeling better?" I ask.

"Yeah."

"That's good. You seen Octavia?"

"She was up all night helping people. Murphy gave her a break."

"Don't tell me you trust him now."

"Trust? No. I do believe in second chances, though."

"It's almost dawn. Better get everyone inside. If we lock the doors, maybe the Grounders will think we're not home."

"Not everyone is sick."

"Sick is better than dead." I look up at Ash above me.

"She will be fine. She's strong."

"She basically died when we first got here. I'm just very worried," I say. I finally return to the topic at hand.

"You should get everyone inside."

"You don't think Finn and Jasper are gonna pull it off?"

"Do you?"

"I'll get everyone inside."
