"You know I leave tomorrow, right love?" Dan reminded his husband resting his head on his chest. "I know, I wish you didn't have to go bear" Phil sighed wrapping his arms around Dan. A month had gone by so quickly, and now it was time for Dan to head back to work. "I wish that too, but I need to work" he whispered. Phil stayed quiet, the hardest thing for him was saying goodbye to Dan, the hardest days are the nights before he has to leave. "Remember when you had to leave for the first time? I wouldn't let go of you" Phil laughed slightly "I remember, it was so difficult for me to hold my tears back as well" Dan added in cuddling closer to his husband, that was a really hard day for them both, neither of them had forgotten.
"Please don't leave Dan.." Phil sobbed hugging onto his husband tightly not ready to let go yet. "Phil I have to, please don't try to stop me or make this harder than it already is.." Dan said softly. Phil kept a hold onto Dan, he was terrified to let him go,he didn't want to be alone. "We can find a job for you Dan, please stay" he sobbed. "Phil I'm not smart like you, this is the best job for me" he sighed cupping Phil's cheeks "I want to be able to start a family with you love, but that's only possible if I have a stable job, I promise you everything will be okay" he assured him. "Dan, we have to leave for the airport now" James said quietly knocking on the door. He was going with Dan too for his medicine training and will be working there along with his brother/best friend. "James, tell my husband that I'll be fine please" he sighed looking at James for help. "I'll be there keeping an eye on him for you Phil, don't worry" he smiled. "I-I'll drive you to the airport" Phil said wiping his tears away.
"I'll miss you" Dan whispered kissing Phil softly when they reached the airport. Before he could pull away he was pulled into a long passionate kiss. "Promise me you'll write and talk to me whenever you can?" Phil asked placing his forehead on his. "Of course, I promise my love" he smiled. "I love you so much bear" he whispered. "I love so much more" he smiled pressing their lips together for one last kiss before he left. Phil made sure to give James a goodbye hug too "I'll make sure he's okay I promise."
The next morning was as emotional and tear filled as the first time Dan had to leave. The family was at the airport now. "What's wrong buddy?" Dan asked picking his son up who was quiet since the morning. "I don't want you to go Daddy" he whispered wrapping his arms around his father's neck. "Hey I'll be back before you now it" he smiled. "Promise?" Joey asked pouting. "I promise" Dan smiled kissing the little boys forehead before putting him down. "Do you have everything?" Phil asked "Yup, I'll miss you love" he whispered kissing his husband. "I'll miss you too" Phil sighed trying to hold his tears back. "Like I promised Joey, I'll see you soon, I'll be back before you know it" he smiled kissing Phil's forehead then leaning down to kiss his sleeping daughters forehead "Bye princess" he whispered. "Dan you ready?" James asked putting Joey down after a big hug. Dan nodded and looked back at his family "I love you all so much" he whispered hugging them once before grabbing his bag and leaving. He didn't let his tears fall until he was far away enough so that his family couldn't see them. "Hey we'll see them again" James smiled patting his shoulder "Yeah."
