Chapter Twenty-One

The two continued to walk down on the new trail while still holding-hands. Hestia is now nervous after what Jaypee told her.

They found them.

But she is still confused, who found them? Danilo's men or Jaypee's colleagues?

On the other hand, Jaypee kept looking on the sky. Praying that the organization didn't send a helicopter to keep an eye on them.

Because if they did, they are doomed.

"Here." Jaypee said and they hid behind the large tree that they saw.

The sun already set and now there's the moon, the two can hear the rustling of dried leaves because of the wind.

"Jonathan---"

"The organization found where I am through Zabdiel, Hestia." He whispered and looked at the scared woman beside her. "Whatever happens, I want you to run away from here as far as you can. Meet up with Amber and tell her what happened." He instructed.

"What!? no! I am not going to leave you, Jonathan." She protested.

"Hestia, I don't know what will they do to you. It is better if they don't catch us both." Jaypee reasoned.

The two stopped when they heard a crunch of leaves nearby. Jonathan readied his gun and slowly peeked from where they were hiding.

Then he saw two figures, talking.

And from what he can see, they are wearing an outdoor version of their uniform back in the organization.

He squeezed Hestia's hand before they quietly left their hiding spot and took another trail away from the two figures that he saw.

Jaypee's mind is haywire but there is one thing that is keeping him together.

Hestia.

He stopped when he heard another footstep, the two slowly backed up when the sound was coming in front of them.

He quickly went into another trail as Hestia followed behind, trying to lose whoever was following them.

They just need to go back to his house, gather some things then they can leave this town.

And maybe start a new life if that is possible, maybe they---

"Jonathan!" Hestia screamed when someone grabbed her from behind.

An arm was wrapped around her neck and a cold gun was pressed into the side of her neck.

Jaypee gritted his teeth and points his gun at the one who grabbed Hestia.

"Let her go, Chris." He said, almost pleading.

"You know that I can't, Jaypee." Chris answered.

"Let her fucking go now in an instant." He demanded.

A cold chunk of metal was pushed again the back of his skull and that was where he stopped.

"Move two steps forward Jaypee." The new person instructed.

Jaypee clenched his jaw and moved forward.

Then he quickly grabbed his hidden gun and also points it at the new person who just came.

"Put down your guns Jaypee." Chris calmly instructed.

"Let Hestia go." He bargains.

"No." Jaylene answered and that made Jaypee turn to him.

Lyka and Richard arrived at the scene. She tried to step in but Richard just stopped her.
