Small words of admiration spoken out loudsmall, tiny, petit things you say that make me feel more than possible.
Each one making the corner of my eyes pinch and ache
That water fills up like the pool I usually fall to the bottom of.
I crave something from you I don't even know.
Normally a pull on the head, a shout in the ear, a talk is all I get.
You're a unique gem, emerald, ruby, fools gold.
Piano ballads, gusts of wind on a summer's day, walks as the sun darkens, rain on the days you lay in bed, going on holiday, jumping so far, taking a perfect photo, meeting new people, eating your favourite food, admiring people and their culture, pieces of art, a new book, a song that makes you get chills.
So many things that are so perfect to make you
Yet I cannot use one of these to describe how you make me feel.
Nobody has everything but I've tried to see that in you.
It's impossible.
Each small thing you say about me I have a bigger piece about you.
That water how now be let go, the guard has stood down
And now my cheeks are wet as my volcano has erupted and my waterfall will now never stop.
