Ch.10: AfterMath

I Collapse to the ground. lay there and stare at the sky, I fight to keep my eyes open. Hope, Carli, Ash, Ali, Kelly and Tobin all run over to me. I was wearing my white practice jersey, which is now covered in blood.

"Kid.... Hang on. Hang on just a little longer." Hope says.

I reach into my pocket and pull out my phone. I unlock my phone and hand it to Ash.

"Go to my contacts and call a guy named Rubin next to his name it says cleanup crew. Call him and tell him exactly what happened here. Him and his crew will come and clean up the mess, they'll take care of the damage and bodies." I say. I pull out 10 gold coins and hand them to Ash.

"Give these to him when he's done." I say.

I close my eyes and black out.

*Ash's pov*

"Shit shit. No no come on kid stay awake." I say shaking Gwen trying to wake her up.

Hope scoops Gwen up and quickly walks her to the rental van. Carli, Kelly, Alex and Ali all run over to the van and go with Hope to the hospital.

I go to Gwens contacts and call the guy like she said. I tell him everything that Happened, he tells me that him and his crew will be there in 20 minutes.

Jill and Dawn tell me, Mal, Tobin and Christen to go to the hospital. And that they'll stay here for the clean up crew. I hand her the 10 golden coins. Me, Tobin, Christen and Mal walk to the hospital while the other girls.

*Hopes pov*

We get to the hospital I pick up Gwen bridal style and rush inside with her in my arms. I shout for help, a doctor and several nurses rush over and take Gwen from me. They rush away with her and take her to the surgery room.

The doctor comes out an hour later. "She's stable. You can go see her if you want, she had several cuts and lost a lot of blood. I don't know how..... wait you never told me what happened." The doctor says.

I tell him and he sighs and rubs his face with his hand. "I'm not sure how she didn't die, I mean she lost quite a bit. She's lucky. She's in room 130 if you guys want to go see her." He says.

I thank him. He walks away, me and the girls go to her room. We open the door and we gasp, she had a broken nose. Several cuts and bruises on her face. she has stitches on both of her legs, same with one of her arms. Her knuckles are all bruised and banged up.

The doctor pulls Ash and Ali off to the side to talk to them.

*Ash's pov*

"Does she have any family that we can call?" He asks.

We shake our heads. "Her Parents passed not to long ago. As far as other family goes we aren't sure." I say.

"Okay..... I'm sorry to say this but if I can't get a contact of a family member I can call then I'm gonna have to call child services." He says.

I nod and look at Ali. We didn't even need to say anything cause we made eye contact and think the same thing. "Can you call them? Me and my wife would like to talk to them." I say.

"Yes of course. Give me a minute so I can make the phone call." He says.

We thank him and he walks away to make the phone call. He comes back 2 minutes later.

"The social worker is on her way." He says.

We both nod. "Thank you." We say.

We go back to Gwens room, she's awake. She smiles when she sees us. She smiles at us. "Hey kid how are you feeling?" I ask.
