Stark Stange: The Protector

It's been about a week and a half and I just came back from Paris. Esme has been learning to cook more, so she made me the most delicious food I've had in a while. She packed me some up so I could have some back here.

Now I'm at Bella's house, she hasn't talked to Jacob in a while. He wants to keep some distance between them because he doesn't want to hurt her. I can't feel the loneliness start to radiate off of her again but this time there is worry there too.

It's now later in the day, I came to Billy's house to check up on Jacob but he's about to head out with the pack. That's when we hear Bella's truck pull up. I turned invisible again and walked outside, Bella and Jacob were already talking as the pack walked up.

"What did Sam get to you?" Bella asked, making her voice louder so she could be heard through the falling rain.

"Sam's trying to help me, Bella"

"What are you talking about?"

"Leave Bella it's best for you" Jacob struggled to get out.

"You can't...I can't break up with me, I mean you promised that you wouldn't hurt me.

"Yes I did Bella but this is me keeping that promise."

With that he walked off to join the rest of the pack, leaving Bella standing there not knowing what to do.

When she finally got back into her car, I put a protection spell on her because I can feel something coming.

A week passed by and there has been no communication with Bella and Jacob yet. I've talked to Jacob and he says that this is the best way to keep her safe because he doesn't want to hurt her physically or emotionally.

Right now I'm following Bella as she is walking into the woods by herself. Everything in the field that she is in is all dried up, since it's almost summer. As she is standing there when someone makes their presence known.

"Well hello Bella"

"Laurent, what...what are you doing here?" Bella asked in shock. I put up a force field around me so my scent wouldn't be known to the vampire.

"I stopped by the Cullen's house to say my hellos but to my surprise no one was there, surprising to see that they left you here, seeing as how they protected you before"

"Edward, you're here" Bella thought, she sees the image of Edward again but he's not really here.

"They just went on a quick trip" she pauses then continues "I'll let them know that you stopped by"

"You know I came here as a favor to Victoria, to see if you were still under the protection of the Cullen's, she won't de thrilled but I think I'm going to finish the job for her." Laurent says as he moved closer to Bella.

Under her breathe I can here Bella say "Edward I love you."

As she says that the bushes and leaves start to move causing Laurent to stop. It's the pack, with Sam, being the alpha, in the front.

Laurent runs, I put the force field down and run after him, close behind me is the pack. I turn visible again and he stops.

"Well looks like they did leave a Cullen behind" he says as the pack circles us.

"Yes the one that protects everyone"

Laurent comes at me but I'm able to push him back, thankfully the pack isn't interfering yet.

"Nia get out of here, it's not safe" Jacob let's his thoughts be loud enough so I can here.

"Jacob, I'm fine, this is what I do." All the wolves start radiating confusion as I fight Luarent.

Laurent threw me up into the air and I turn into a wolf. Landing back in all fours the pack is really confused now I can feel it radiating off of them so much right now. I run up to him and so does one of the wolves, I think Paul. Paul gets thrown back and I'm able to grab his arm and throw Luarent towards Jacob and Sam. I let the wolves do what they need to do as I run off to find a rock to hide behind. I create new clothes for myself and make a portal to my house. I know Bella went home and I know Jacob and the rest of the pack can handle Laurent.
