Stark Stange: The Protector

26 (Start of Eclipse)

So we are reaching the end of our senior year, again, and we are all ready but it's not like none of us have done this before. But anyways I've been spending time with Leah and Seth. Leah and I are on good terms now but I feel like she still has some kind of problem with me and I think it's because of the way Seth and I get along. Seth told me that Leah has always kept a distance from him but that he knows she cares about him. And I don't wanna prepare her mind because that feels wrong. But I've been helping her, since she recently found out she's a wolf. Bella also has made her final decision that she wants to become a vampire so she's trying to find the right time.

Today Bella and Edward are leaving for Florida to go see her mom. Edward reminded her that it's what Carlisle and Esme got her for her birthday, also it was the plan to get her out of here because Alice and I got a vision that Victoria is coming.

It's night and we are standing around trying to cover as much ground as we can. Then Alice and I see Victoria coming our way. We all start running to try to catch up with her but she keeps slipping away. Rosalie  almost catches her whole Jasper jumps as well but neither of them get there on time. Victoria is now on the pack's land and they are chasing after her too.

She keeps jumping back and forth between lands. I love running this fast but sometimes it's hard to judge what the next move is. Now I'm giving more credit to Pietro than I already do. But anyways, Victoria jumps one more time to the pack's land and Emmett jumps after her. We all yell at him not to but he does anyway, Paul pulls him down and they are both staring at each other, letting Victoria get away.
I run in between them and before anything crazy can happen. I told Emmett that he needs to go back with the rest of our family and I could hear Paul's thoughts that Emmett shouldn't be there. I told him that I know that and we all were just trying to catch Victoria, so we just all needed to go home.

It's the next morning and I told Carlisle and Esme that I wasn't going to school today to check on the pack. They know that I do all my work and have done high school already so I'm fine. Once I get to Emily's house I see that Jacob and Bella are getting there at the same time.

"Hey guys, I didn't know you were coming by too" I told them.

"Yeah I just picked Bella up" Jacob says.

"How was the trip to Florida Bella?" I asked.

"Good but I know that it was just a way to get me out of Forks while Victoria was here"

"Yeah I'm sorry Bella it was but it wasn't. We really did want you to see your mom too"

She nods thank you and we walk closer to Emily's house. The pack walks out and we see that Embry is now part of the pack. Leah walks out and I say hi, then Jacob introduces Bella to Leah and Leah just gives Bella the cold shoulder while Bella gives her her condolences. Then Leah turns into a wolf and leaves.

The pack then starts making fun a Jacob, saying that he is always asking himself questions: if he should call Bella, what if he goes to see Bella, etc. But it stopped when Emily then comes out with Sam and says

"Bella, I was wondering when we were going to see your face again?"

"Yeah it's good to see you again" Bella says and they hug.

"Oh Nia I didn't see you there, it's good to see vampire-wolf girl back here" Emily said with a laugh.

"It's good to see you too,"

"So Sam we good?" Jacob asked, changing the conversation.

"Yeah chased her all the way out of town" he said.

Then the pack starts cheering, and goes back in the house. Bella and Jacob said they were going to go back to his house. I told them that I would take Bella home later, to just make their thoughts loud enough for me to hear.

After a couple hours, Bella's thoughts come to me telling me to come pick her up. I drove to Jacobs house and took her home. She was inside already and I was about to leave when I saw Edward, knocking on her door frantically. I stayed because I had the feeling that he was going to call me and that he was going to need my help. Sure enough, Edward told me if I could come to Bella's room. I made a portal and walked into her room.

"What happened? What do you need?" I asked once I saw the look on Edward's face.

"Can you see if you can get anything from this," he pointed at the dream catcher Jacob gave her, "it doesn't smell familiar but I know you can smell it too."

I nodded and waved my hand on top of it letting it start glowing.

"It feels cold, so I know it's a vampire but that's all I can get from it." I let them know.

"Well I know someone who can help" Edward looks at Bella trying to figure out who.

After about 20 minutes of Edward and I waiting outside, I waited with him because I know how he gets when Jacob's with Bella. Jacob told us that the smell is strong and will be hard to miss and that the pack can handle it from there. Edward stands his ground and says that they don't need help. And now both of them are in each other's face but Bella breaks them apart telling them that they need to stop and that she's basically done being in the middle. Jacob walks away and Edward, Bella, and I walk to my car because we need to talk to Carlisle.
