Stark Stange: The Protector

It's currently extremely cloudy and looks like it's going to rain, which isn't new or anything here in Forks, but there's also lightning. That only means one thing: BASEBALL. The Cullen's don't know this about me but for a big part of my life I played baseball and softball. Tony and Pepper wanted to give me a somewhat normal childhood, so they would put me in sports. But the one I gravitated to more was baseball and I loved it. So let's see what I can bring to this group of vampires.

Bella and Edward arrive at the field and we are just practicing and goofing around. We are already split into teams: Edward, Emmett and Alice on one team, and Rosalie, Jasper, and I on the other. Esme is umpire with Bella and Carlisle is swinging for both teams.

I start by pitching to Alice and she hits an almost home run but Jasper throws it to Rosalie and tags her out before she can get to home. It's crazy how hard I throw now because of the increased strength. We quickly got our three outs but Edward made it home before we could tag him out. We switched on who was on the field, I was up to bar first and I got two strikes before hitting a homerun.

"Wow Nia that's impressive, I didn't know you played." Esme tells me.

"Oh thank you, yeah I played baseball and softball from ages 7 to 15" I responded.

We got back to the game and Rosalie got up to bat, she hits the ball extremely far but Edward is running.

"That has to be a homerun right?" Bella asks Esme.

"Well Edward is fast" Esme responds. Rosalie slid to home plate but she wasn't fast enough. I heard Bella say out and Rosalie's face just had slight anger. Bella was helping Esme out because she said we cheat but whatever. I laugh inside so they don't think I'm crazy. This game goes on for a couple more swings until Alice yells: "STOP." I saw the same thing she did. We all run into a huddle.

"They were leaving but they heard us playing." Alice yells.

"Okay Bella we got to go" Edward says.

"It's late," Alice said.

"They are basically already here" I tell them.

"Put your hair down, now Bella" Edward tells Bella.

"Yeah like that'll work, I could smell her from across the field." Rosalie told Edward.

"Bella I'm so sorry" Edward looks down at her.

"What? What's happening?" Bella asks frantically.

That's when three vampires come up and let us know that they were here but they led the "humans", how the red headed woman named Victoria said it, the wrong way. Luarent asked if they could play, Carlisle agreed and Edward and Bella tried leaving but that's when the wind shifted. James was the one that really wanted her and tried to come at her but we all created a protective wall between Bella and James.

"I can see the game is over, so we are leaving" Luarent said and left with James and Victoria.

I know Edward heard the same thing that I heard. James' thoughts weren't exactly quiet, he wants Bella and he won't stop until he gets her.

Bella and Edward rush to the car, and then I can hear Edward's thoughts like he's trying to send me a messages "We are going to Bella's house, she's going to pack up a few of her things so she can leave. She doesn't want James coming for her dad." I tell the rest of the Cullen's and with that Alice, Emmett and I are on our way to Bella's house. Alice is driving a car, Emmett is running, and I am flying invisibly. Once we get to the house I see that Bella is getting in her car and driving away. I quickly go inside and put a protection spell on Charlie, and then the entire house. I start flying and catch up with the rest of the Cullen's and Bella. Alice is driving behind them with Emmett standing in the open trunk of Bella's truck.

Once we get to the Cullen house, we devise a plan to take Bella one way and lead the tracker, James, another way.

"Esme, Rosalie, Nia here but Bella's sweaters on, so we can lead the tracker away" Edward hands us the sweaters.

"Why? What is she to me?" Rosalie asked with disgust to her tone.

"Bella is with Edward now, which makes her part of this family" Carlisle tells her.

"Okay before we all leave, I need to put a protection spell on each of you. It won't last long, and the more you get hurt the more the spell will fade."

"Wait, so you're a witch too" Emmett asked with a laugh and a curious look.

"Emmett now is not the time but yes and no. I'll explain later" I respond quickly.

I can feel like something is off like James is coming to the Cullen house and not tracking her in different locations. So I quickly did the hand movements for the spell and put one on each of them.

"Remember this spell fades with time, so don't rely on it." I inform them.

Alice and Jasper took Bella, I put on one of Bella's sweaters and went with Emmett, Rosalie, and Edward. Esme and Carlisle went in front of us.

When running I got a vision and I know that Alice got one too. James figured out that it was a trick and was now heading towards Phoenix. Edward and Bella to let him know that we are coming and that he and she will just go somewhere safe.

I was going to create a portal to go to the ballet studio but then I remembered that I can't do that because I would get their first and that would ruin their story, so I'm sitting in the car with them going to Phoenix.

Once we get there Bella is screaming in pain on the floor and Edward is fighting James. I run over to Bella and quickly calm myself down because I've never smelled human blood before. But I was quick to fight the urge and thankful I don't feel the need for human blood anymore.

But Alice on the other hand is having a harder time to fight the urge but that's when Carlisle comes over and tells Alice to get her belt and wrap it along Bella's leg to stop the bleeding. I let go of Bella and run over to mirrors and start fixing them with my magic. But that's when James gets free from Jasper and Emmett. I turn around and pick him off the ground with my telekinesis and throw him back at the guys. Alice runs over and finishes off James and that's when Emmett creates a fire, ripping the floorboards out. Once Alice tells me that the fire needs to be off I quickly turn it off, and fix the floors.

The only thing now is that Edward needs to take out the venom from Bella. He is trying so hard to stop once the venom is out but now it's become hard for him to stop. Bella has now passed out but Edward won't stop and I know that he does but it didn't take this long for him to stop. So I run over to him and turn off all his moods which makes him stop and just sit there with a blank look on his face.

I clean up the last of the mess, while Carlisle takes her to the hospital. Emmett, Jasper, and Alice went back to Forks. I stayed with Carlisle and Edward. Edward stayed in the room with Bella until she woke up. Rene, Bella's mom, came frantically to the hospital, and Charlie was close behind her.

Rene came down to the cafeteria to grab food and tell Charlie that Bella was awake.
