Stark Stange: The Protector

I've been coming to see Bella every once and while. She said that it makes her feel better but I know that she's constantly wishing that Edward would come back. And I'm the reminder of a maybe to her.

But today, Bella is standing on the edge of a cliff ready to do some recreational cliff jumping but she doesn't seem to be sure if she wants to do it or not. But she does it anyway. And she doesn't know that I'm here, sometimes I can't always be around her because her emotions change too much and she doesn't know what to think.

She jumped into the water and I looked down and she's not coming back up. But I can't be the one to pull her out, it needs to be someone else. That's when I see red hair coming towards her. I can't believe I haven't sensed her sooner. But right then and there a wave came and pushed Bella back and Jacob swam to pull her out.

I turned visible again and went down to the beach where Jacob was pulling Bella out. He started CPR on her but it wasn't working, it should be working.

"Nia I don't know what to do it isn't working" Jacob yelled at me frantically.

"Here scoot to the side, ima tell you to do CPR again and you are going to have to do it quickly. Okay?" I say and he nods.

I raise my hand up over Bella and start to feel the water that is in her. I pull some of the water out of her and tell Jacob to start. He quickly does so and the rest of the water comes out. She starts waking up and Jacob hugs her.
He was about to say something when Sam yells to get Bella home and that he's going to Billy's. Bella asks why and he tells her that Victoria got to him.

I stopped and am standing still, I knew that there are always going to be things that I can't stop but I didn't think it was going to happen so soon.

I told Bella and Jacob that I was going to Billy's house to check in on everyone. I opened a portal and quickly ran in.

I stood outside the door not ready to enter but I walked in anyways. I found my way to Billy, who was next to a woman I haven't met yet.

"Hi Billy, I'm so sorry I heard what happened. I came as quickly as I could."

"Hi Nia thank you for coming" he stopped and then took a breath in "Nia this is Sue Clearwater, Harry's wife, Sue this is Nia Clearwater Cullen"

"Oh yes I know who you are, Harry was talking about you coming over soon"

"Yes he wanted me to meet Seth and Leah since they are technically my cousins. I'm so sorry about Harry" I say trying to keep tears in"

"Thank you" she said with tears streaming down her face.

"I'm sorry Nia but I have to ask, you are here to protect and keep things the way they are supposed to, was there anything you could have done to have prevented this?" Billy asked me while Sue looked at me.

"I'm sorry I wish there was but stuff like this I'm not allowed to interfere with. I'm sorry"

I sat down and that's when a boy about the age of 15 came up to us. He's emotions are loud of sadness, and sitting here makes me just want to fix everything and turn everyone's emotions off but I know I can't do that.

"Umm Seth this is Nia, you're cousin. Remember you're dad wanted you guys to meet"

"Oh yeah umm it's nice to meet you," Seth said numbly.

"It's nice to meet you too, umm maybe we can see each other again with your sister"

"Umm yeah that would be nice, umm dad said you were a Cullen too, is that true?"

I was about to answer when I heard someone gasp loudly and walk quickly towards me. It's a girl who I can assume is Leah because she looks like Seth and Sue.

"A Cullen? What is one of them doing here? How is she even on our land?" She screams while looking at me.

"Leah calm down, she's-" Sam said, I didn't even see the pack when I first walked in.

"She shouldn't be here, those vampires are the reason that redhead came here in the first place, and the reason she got to him" she said with tears running down her face.

"Leah-" Sue said.

"No it's fine, I'm umm I'm just going to go, I don't want to be a sore subject and disruptive. It isn't my place to stay here. Again I'm sorry for your loss and I'm going to head out. I'm sorry Leah" I finished my sentence and walked out the door.

I was just outside the door and I hear them talking.

"Leah what was that?" Seth said.

"Why are you all defending her, she's a Cullen?"

"Leah, she's a Clearwater too, she's your cousin," Sam said.

"Leah I know you're hurting but that's the cousin that your dad wanted you to meet" Billy told her.

"What you guys aren't making any sense"

"She's not from here, she's from a different reality but she's a descendant of a Clearwater" Sue explained to her daughter.

"Oh I didn't know"

"It's okay, I know she still wants to meet you, she knows that you are going through a hard time right now" Billy said and Leah nodded.
I created a portal to Bella's house because I need to check in on her.

Once I get to the house I see Jacob outside, and I can feel the anger just radiating far off of him.
He looks up at me and says "your sister is here?"

I know certain things are going to happen but not entirely but I forgot that Alice was coming here today. I ran inside the house and saw that Alice and Bella were finishing their conversation.

"Alice" I said softly and she turned around.

"Nia" she runs up to me and hugs me. We nearly fell over.

"I haven't seen you in a while, why haven't you come to see us since we've been in New York?"
"Sorry I've been meaning to but I've been busy here but I've still been checking in on you all, I've been creating little portals to see you all when I couldn't be there."

Alice just hugs me again, I read her mind and she's really missed me. She wanted to take me on shopping trips in Paris and New York but I never stayed long enough to go with her.
But the thoughts stopped when Jacob came through the door. He said that he had to make sure that Bella was okay. Alice told him that she would never hurt Bella and we said that we would give them space to talk. Alice and I walked outside and started talking about why she came back.

"You really think that I would have let that happen to Bella?"

"No but I had to make sure, you know I remember when you came you knew that certain things were going to happen I don't know is this was one of them."

"Yes I know that certain things are going to happen but things can change, but that doesn't mean I would have let that happen."

She nods and then we both get a vision at that same time. Mine is Edward at the Volturi, telling them that he doesn't want to be a vampire anymore. And look at Alice and I read her mind, we got the same vision so we ran inside and Alice told Bella.

Bella quickly got her things and we got into Alice's car. Jacob kept telling Bella not to go but she wasn't staying for anything. I told Jacob that I would protect her but he still didn't want to let her go. Alice started driving anyway. I created a moving portal with me to my room to grab mine and Alice's passport. And we were off to the airport.
