A couple of knocks emitted from Peter's new rundown apartment. "Coming!" the teen exclaimed. Rushing to put away his halfway knitted spiderman suit under the bed. Patting away small threads that were stuck on his shirt. He quickly made his way towards the door and opened it. Revealing an older man, hands in the pockets of the jacket, leaning against the doorframe. "Hey buddy," his deeper and raspy voice sounded out. He straightened himself, now his whole figure looming over Peter. "Hey! Hello, Mister..?"
"Eh, just call me [Name] kiddo. I'm your neighbour, down a couple rooms. So, uh, I heard that you're the new kid in the block? You just moved in?" Petter nodded happily. "Yeah! A lot had happened and now I'm here to start new!"
"Good to hear that buddy," [Name] replied. He then took a peek into Peter's apartment and pursed his lips. The place was dark, dull. Un-lively. "Hey, it's Christmas. You're not celebrating anything?" That question caught Peter off guard and looked back into his apartment. His expression became sullen. "Well, about that... I don't have anyone to celebrate with so it feels like a waste of time,"
"Not even with your relatives?" Petter shook his head. "Sorry for asking, kiddo," he paused, trying to think of something to cheer the boy up. "Hey. Why don't you come and join me for dinner? No one should celebrate Christmas alone. How's that sound?" A small smile crept up to Peter's face, and he nodded excitedly. "Yeah. Yeah, that sounds great," [Name] chuckled. "Alright, go grab your stuff. I'll wait for you," Peter hummed in response, hurriedly finding his phone and wallet. After he's done and locked his apartment, the older man leads the boy towards his apartment. "Oh. I forgot to ask. What's your name, kiddo?"
