"[Name]..?"

"Miles. Honey, please I promise it wasn't me. I was set up!"

"[Name], Calm down okay? I trust you," the prosecutor pulled the defendant into a hug as comfort, softly whispering sweet nothings into his ear. The [h/c]-nette rest his chin on top of the other male's shoulder, struggling to de-stress himself.

He knew it. He knew that one day something like this would happen. Due to his past of being an ex-member of a gang, someone would use it to their advantage. Covering up their crimes by using someone else's name.

Miles pulled away from his tall lover and looked up at him. Smiling softly, he placed both of his hands on both sides of [Name]'s face, gently caressing them. He melted into the warm palms of the shorter male, smiling down at him. "[Name], I may be a prosecutor but I'm going do my best to get that not guilty verdict alright? Mr Wright and I will prove that you're not the murderer, okay? Don't worry," Miles gently spoke to him. [Name] gave a small nod, thanking him.

[Name] couldn't believe it. He was pleaded guilty. For a crime that he didn't even commit. Phoenix and Miles couldn't get that not guilty verdict. Evidence for him to be the murderer was much more than the evidence for him to be innocent. That damn murderer had been planning ahead of this and left no single evidence of them. Fucking bitch.

Shock was all Miles felt. His eyes shifted where the defendant stood. [Name]'s body wasn't shivering as much as before. Everything was relaxed. He only looked down. Miles crumpled the papers that he held in his fist when he saw the look in his lover's eyes. It screamed losing hope. Now, fully lost it. The prosecutor felt a deep dread within him and quickly left his spot to see the [h/c] head.

"[N-Name]..! I'm sorry I couldn't- I couldn't prove your innocence! There was too much evidence for you to be t-the.. the murderer and...."

"..It's alright Miles. You only did your job. But thanks for your help anyway. Don't worry, I survived in the prison before. Just make sure to visit me aight?"

"Y-yeah... Of course.."
