Lavina put her bag down as she entered her second period. From there she sat down at her desk and began to take out her schoolwork. It was still quite early but the teacher never minded. After five minutes the bell rang and the class was nearly full. There were two absences, but that was typical.

"Happy Tuesday, once again, class. Now settle down so we can begin." The class became quiet and looked to the teacher. "We are continuing where we left off yesterday." She paused and wrote a name on the board. "Unora's name was actually Ophelia Ashanti. She was born of the queen and king of the witch kingdom. She grew up in a palace and did typical princess things. As a child Unora was not only annoying but a troublemaker. She threw fits and made sure she got her way." The class laughed.

"Mrs. Cripple told us that when she was younger that she didn't want to learn magic, but her father had forced her to. As a royal it was a rule for you to learn magic. But to be specific, she learned royal magic. Yes, Ocr?"

"What type of royal magic?"

"It was the witch type. But most of the magics' seemed to be the same. People also said that royal magic seemed to be the only universal type of magic there is. But it is extremely hard to learn and use." She paused for a second. "The forgotten kingdom laid under siege when the Marked decided to wage a silent war on them. After the demonstration from Cordelia's killer, sometime later the Marked council decided that magic users were too dangerous and were considered a threat. Because of this witches and sorcerers, and many others were hunted down and killed. But nothing was quite as big as the massacre we called a victory on that day. The princess Ophelia was the only person who was not accounted for in the Marked roster of people they definitely wanted dead. And this fact was true, she was still alive. She decided to rebuild her kingdom in a secret location that the Marked could not find. Her kingdom actually grew quite quickly. There were others who made it out or those who she found injured who she helped get the care they needed who enlisted in her kingdom. But yet again Marked intelligence found the kingdom and whipped it off the map, this time for good. They marked her as dead, and made it all official. But they never found a body, which led to mass speculation, but they weren't too concerned because they never really saw her resurface. Years later we found out that she made herself at home in a cave system just outside the Market. Readings around there were strange so the officials closed the area off and considered it trespassing to be in that area. Unora entranced Mrs. Cripple, nearly hypnotizing her. She used trance mist to make her do things subconsciously. Mrs. Cripple recalled having a scrape on her wrist. This was because Unora could use her blood to easily control her. Sometime a few months later, Mrs. Cripple met Camilia who broke the spell Unora had on her." Just then the bell rang. "Hold on there, no ones leaving yet, you've got plenty of time." She looked around the room and then everyone sat back down. "For your homework I would like you all to do research on Unora's armor. Tell me where it came from, how she got it, and how she used it, was it enchanted?" She paused a second and then looked back to the class. "Now you may leave." Everyone got up and left the room.

"Hey Lavina!" Anghi said, running up behind her.

"Hi there, Anghi."

"So what are we doing today?"

"Oh, nothing much. I might go visit my grandparents until my next class."

He laughed, "So you're taking the fun route, that's always good!"

"I am, I do take time for myself."

"So-" Anghi said, scratching the back of his head. "Did you want to hang out later?"

"Again? This is the fourth time you asked me this week."

"Yeah, well you're fun to hang out with."

"What about your parents' shop?"

"I can always start my shift later. They don't really have me on a shift calendar due to my school and homework."

"Ah, I see." She paused, "You haven't been lying to them to hang out with me have you?"

"Huh? No, of course not. Why would I?"

Lavina laughed, "Some people do."

"Well?" He asked.

"Sure Anghi, we can meet up after school."

He smiled and did a giddy laugh. Then he waved to her as he ran off to his next class. Lavina laughed again and then blushed. She walked out of the doors to the school and then walked over to the castle.

"Look who it is." Leo said, walking towards her. "Don't tell me you're done already."

"Oh, no, I just have a free period."

"Ah I see, the scholar is taking a little break, hm?"

"Yeah."

"Walk with me, won't you?" He said motioning in front of him. Lavina smiled and then walked next to him.

"Are you busy again today?"

"I am. Are you here to see your grandparents?"

"I guess so."

"You guess so."

"I'm not really sure what to do, it's different having time to myself."

"You know what you could do."

"What?"

"You could pick a different store to go to everyday, just to see what they have. You know, go exploring."

"Your idea of exploring is different from mine."

He laughed, "I guess it is." Leo put his hand on her back as they walked into the throne room. He knelt down next to her. "What do you think? Red and blue or black and yellow?"

"What?"

"For the masquerade."

"Hugh." She gasped. "I get to pick this year!"

"Not all of the arrangements, but, yes, most of them."

Lavina squealed. "Oh my gosh! Thank you!" She said hugging him.

"Now, Lavina, this is a big responsibility, tell me, can I count on you?"

"Ready and willing uncle Leo!" Her eyes sparkled.

"Well then. Welcome to your first royal assignment, Princess Lavina."
