Lavina looked over to her right as her second period, she sighed. Ever since he had gotten his magic, things have changed drastically. He no longer attended the Marked academy, but rather attended the school Unora went to. Lavina missed her brother, walking with him to school and meeting him in the halls at the school. Now she walked by herself to school. School dragged on for her most days now, but it soon ended. She walked home, with no one by her side and walked through the forest. Finally, she reached the house and opened the door, walking in.
"Good evening, Lavina!" Her mother greeted her.
"Oh, hi mom."
"You sound surprised."
"Well, yeah, shouldn't you be at work? Or looking after the kingdom?"
"All done, they actually adjusted my hours at work, so I work more late night hours than anything else. And from there I go to the kingdom, come back for breakfast with you kids, and back down to the kingdom. I do queen stuff for a few more hours, take a snooze in the royal bedroom and then come back up here, just in time for when you all get back."
"Wow, you really planned it, huh?"
"Yes."
"How is everything going for you?"
"It's- uh, well, it's alright, I suppose."
"Alright?"
Amilia laughed, "You know the queen stuff is boring to me."
"I know." Just then they heard the door open and a woman speak.
"You're getting much better." That's when Anghi walked into the kitchen, in his nice suit.
"How was school, you two?" Anghi looked at Amilia and then went up the stairs.
"It was good, Amilia." Unora said, smiling. "He's just a little overwhelmed with his magic, that's all."
"Yeah, I suppose he is."
"Don't worry, he'll get it. I know I did." She laughed and then went up the stairs herself.
"I better go check in on him." Lavina pointed up the stairs. She went up the stairs and over to his room, she knocked on his door. "Anghi?"
"Go away." Lavina turned the knob to his room and then opened the door.
"I just wanna talk."
"No, stop!" He said, "I could hurt you, just close the door and leave."
"But Anghi-"
"Get out!" He threw a pillow at the door. Lavina closed the door.
"Are you alright?" She said, her back to the door. "I can hear you crying."
"I- I just don't want to hurt anyone."
"You can't lock yourself up forever, these things take time."
"Like you're one to talk, your mark doesn't even work." Lavina took her hand from the door.
"I may not be, but sometimes that's even harder, when people compare you to something you will never be." Lavina walked away from his door and went back down the stairs.
"How is he?"
"Depressed and angry." She sat down at the island. Amilia handed her a cup.
"It's alright, he'll come around."
"He's too afraid he'll hurt someone."
"Gosh, it's times like these I wish Soka were here."
