You put them on and looked around quickly. "Yep, all good."
You entered the cozy living room and saw everyone doing something they liked or conversing with someone. You saw Camilo sit a few meters from the fireplace, far enough for the book on his lap to be safe but near enough to get light to read.
You decided to go and sit down next to him. "Hey," you greeted, plopping down next to him. "How far are you?"
"Hmm," he hummed, looking up at you before it arrived to him what you asked and he carefully checked the pages without fully turning them or otherwise he would definitely read something and spoil it for himself. "A few pages until the end of the first book."
"Show me," you said, putting your hand out. He handed the book to you. You observed it a bit. "You really are a fast reader, y'know? But I was left off somewhere here, mind if I read with you?"
"No, of course not," he shook his head with a smile and you put the book on the ground in front of the two of you, holding it so the pages were readable.
You devoured the context of the book as if you were in a hurry but in reality, you weren't even there. You were in Narnia, coming back from the world before seeing a summary of Diggory's life from then on.
"Is it okay if I turn the page?" Camilo asked from beside you.
"Wait a second," you said, holding your hand up as a 'wait' sign so he put his own hand on the pages so you could finish reading. A few seconds went by and you nodded. "Yeah, you can now."
He turned the page and both of you could see the title of the next book there. He heaved a sigh. "Well... that was something."
You laughed. "Good something or bad something?"
"Good something, of course!" he assured. "It was... awesome. Thank you so much again for borrowing this to me."
"As I said before, it's no problem. Especially if I can read along with you so neither of us have to give up the adventure," you smiled.
"I agree," he nodded. "So. Shall we continue?"
"Of course," you nodded before he turned the page and both of you once again fell into the rabbit hole of reading. When you reached the end of the page, you looked to Camilo quietly, as if asking to turn the page. He only raised his hand slightly, telling you to wait a second.
And that's how it went on. No words were needed, you understood each other perfectly without them.
