[This was originally two chapters ngl, I had to change it so I could do exactly 50 chapters. They were titled 'Beaten' and 'Promise' and were separated in the '***' part.]
"Tía Julieta!" Camilo called frantically as he and his sister arrived back in Casita, you in his arms. The said woman quickly came from the dining room, gasping at the sight of you.
"Get her to her room. Dolores, come with me," she said firmly and Camilo didn't hesitate to do that. He carefully placed you on your bed just before Julieta and Dolores came with a bowl of water and a towel.
"I'm going to clean her wounds," Julieta said, Camilo moving out of the way as she came to stand beside your bed. "And then we have to put bandages."
"Can't you just feed her something?" Camilo asked hopefully.
"Not as long as she's unconscious," Julieta said regretfully. "And that might be a while."
"What?" Camilo asked worriedly, glancing at your pale face. "Will she be okay?"
"Most likely," Julieta nodded, dabbing off the blood and water from your face. "But it will take some time." Camilo frowned slightly, watching as his aunt did her magic and soon, you were all bandaged up.
"C'mon now," Dolores said, tugging on her brother's sleeve. "We should go eat dinner."
"But-"
"You can come back here," Dolores assured. "She would want you to eat."
Camilo nodded with a sigh and went out the door but not before sending another glance at your fragile form.
